Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Sep 8: Three persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of Nilesh Poojary alias Neelu that took place late night on Wednesday September 4.

Ullal police on Saturday September 7 arrested Chidu alias Chidanand, Santhu alias Santhosh and Krishna Talapady. The police are hunting for the fourth accused, identified as Jaggu alias Jagadish.

Nilesh was on his way home when he saw a car near Madyar junction and grew suspicious. He gave a chase. The occupants of the car, when reached near Madyar temple suddenly applied brakes and stopped Nilesh's car. He was then dragged out and attacked with sharp weapons. The attackers escaped from the spot soon after.

Nilesh's friends Sampath and Dinesh, who had followed him, found him murdered when they reached the spot, and later lodged a complaint with Ullal police.

In the complaint, they alleged that Santhu, Chidu, Jagadish and Krishna had killed Nilesh.

The police who arrived at the spot conducted investigations and took the car used by the murderers into possession. It is learnt that the vehicle, which bears Goa registration, was brought by Krishna from Goa. Krishna reportedly ran a hotel business in Goa, but six months back he gave it up and came to Mangalore, bringing his car along. The same car was used to commit the crime, sources said.

Further investigations are on.

Do not show their faces to small children. It is so scary. One thing is for sure, the police dept. under new govt. in Karnataka has become very active and efficient. Unlike under previous govt. police were arresting the victims and the rapists, goondas, moral police, criminals were left free. It was total Taliban rule. Now, Mangalore is peaceful & I am sure peace loving people of all religion feel safe and secure. Jai Karnataka.
