Bantwal, Sep 12: A group of young men lodged a police complaint against a shopkeeper for allegedly misbehaving with a girl employee.

A shopkeeper of Rajastan origin, conducting business at a Vittal shopping complex, is said to have touched his girl employee apparently with sexual intent.

The girl narrated the incident to her family. Angered by the shopkeeper's behaviour, the young men among her relatives reportedly entered the shop on Wednesday evening and assaulted the shopkeeper.

Though the shopkeeper was injured then, he pretended as though nothing had happened. However, he got himself admitted to Vittal government hospital at night. He later lodged counter complaint against the men.

Vittal police are investigating the incident.

Best solution for all these is to implement strict rules of installing CCTV (close circuit camera's)during issue / renewal of trade licence. So that there will be no 'one way judgement' by anybody.

Excluding the honest female staff members working in retail shops and groceries owned by private individuals, there are several cases of theft by female employees and filtering goods thru their decoy customer with whom the girls have a deal. When the owner catches, obviously she would deny and even falsely implicate the owner accusing him of molestation or misbehaviour.

Here in the case, without verifying the truth, people thrashed the guy. If at all there is truth in girl's statement, the parents should lodge a complaint and public has no role to lay their hand on the shop owner.

Fews days back in kundapur When one Bajrang dal goon made an rape attempt on minority women, People, neighbours thrashed him nicely, that time Police arrested people, neighbours who thrashed him. But Police is not arresting those people who has thrashed this conductor for his misbehavior. I am not supporting the shopkeeper here, he should be punished. Quation: Why Police is always biased in india, especially in mangalore.

The girl should have raised her voice immediately. May be she was in a shock. Whatever it is, if there is truth in what she says, then she has done the right thing by informing her family. This incident should not discourage other girls in taking up the jobs in shops. They are doing a great job, wherever they are. Most of the employers know how useful their women employees are.

Similar thing also happened in Mangalore a couple of weeks back.many a times these girls act on the behest of anti social criminals and try to blackmail the men shop owners. It is high time shop owners take precautionary steps while recruiting these gullible girls who fall prey to these goons.

Before also it was happened, because of female employees shop owners are assaulted by the goondas from the girl's side due to misbehaving etc. If complaint is false also these moral police will beat him and the poor owner will loose his respect in the society. It is a lesson and warning to all the shop owners, now onwards better to avoid recruiting female staff in their shops.
