The four were transporting ganja in Delhi to Ernakulam train. When they got down at Kasargod railway station and questioned by policemen, they reportedly gave evasive answers saying that they were taking clothes in the bags.

However, when the policemen checked the bags, they found five packets with 2 kg of ganja in each. Police sources said that the four had transported ganja in the past also.

The four have been subjected to further questioning.

More than four tons of ganja has been seized in the district during the last six months.  A few days ago two people were arrested for carrying ganja weighing 46 kg. Police have learnt that a large amount of ganja gets transported by trains and vehicles to Kasargod.
