Bahrain, Sep 14: Members of Konkani Kutam and their families in Bahrain, celebrated Nativity Feast in traditional flair at Papillon Restaurant, Bahrain, on September 13, 2013.  The Kutam has been celebrating the feast for the last twelve years.  The celebration reflects the culture and depicts unity as a family.

Assistant Priest of Sacred Heart church,Fr Freddy D’Souza and guest priest from Mangalore, Fr Prakashl Lobo blessed the new corn.  The presence of Fr Lobo was an added attraction for the programme.

Richard Moras, convenor of Konkani Kutam welcomed the members and dignitaries.  Fr Prakash Lobo and Fr Freddy D’Souza spoke on the occasion, highlighting the significance of Nativity Feast which symbolizes unity and harmony.

Children demonstrated their discipline in admiration of Mother Mary by offering flowers with mellifluous hymn “Moriyek Hogolsiyam”.

The entertainment consisting of dance, singing and comedy skits enthralled the crowd.  Local talents Sydney, Ronald, Muriel, Melba, Sandra, Vanitha, Shanthi, Reema and Melissa excelled in singing.  Comedy skits were presented by Stany, Maxim, Ancil, Melwyn, Alwyn, Melba and Nirmala.  Dances were performed by Melwyn, Ancil, Suzan, Nikita, Ashel, Shania, Elora and Jewel.
