Mohali, Sep 17 : Hello and welcome to the first qualifying match between Faisalabad and Otago at Punjab. With the visa trouble firmly behind them, Faisalabad will be looking forward to put their international experience to use and storm into the mains. On the other hand, Otago, the only team who are not from the subcontinent, are strong from their training camp in Sri Lanka and will be keen on starting on a winning note.
Pitch Report: 'It looks like a good wicket and lots of runs are going to be scored. The wicket is well-prepared and it will assist fast bowlers. Lot of grass here and there will be lot of bounce. The team that wins the toss, needs to bat first', says Wasim Akram
Faisalabad have won the toss and have opted to bat
McCullum: 'We would have bowled first as well. It looks like a typical Indain wicket. We have couple of good spinners. We have been preparing for the tournament for sometime practising in Sri Lanka and then we played a practise game here as well, so all geared up.'
Misbah: 'We are going to bat first. It is a good pitch and it looks like a dry pitch. Our strength is our bowling so we need to put up a good total and then let the bowlers defend it.'
