Sandalwood star Sudeep to join Congress, contest LS polls?

Bangalore, Sep 19: If sources close to Sudeep are to be believed, Congress has been successful in fishing out another star from the Sandawood industry to strenghthen its position in the state. Sudeep has been reportedly invited to contest the Lok Sabha election on Congress ticket.

After Ramya's magical victory against a heavyweight JD(S) leader, Sudeep could be the new star to take the political plunge and contest for the Lok Sabha seat in the upcoming general election, which is due in May next year.

On Wednesday September 18, Sudeep held a closed-door meeting with Karnataka CM for nearly 30 minutes, reportedly to discuss his interest in politics and the possibility of joining Congress.

It may be recalled that Sudeep had expressed his ambition to join politics long time ago, but no party had been successful in pursuing him.

Sudeep, one of the top Kannada actors, is expected to announce his decision in the coming weeks.

Sudeep had campaigned in favour of Ashok Kheny, founder and MLA of Makkala Paksha, during the 2013 assembly elections. Other than that, he has not been identified with any political party.

On Wednesday it was speculated that Nandan Nilekani, the UID chief would join Congress to contest from Bangalore South. It is learnt that Congress is fishing for more star candidates to attract the voters in the coming election.

Most of them here being educated .. do you want to support a corrupt govt. ?? I mean how can you turn a blind eye towards all the corruption that is happening ? do you feel that Manmohan is a good leader ?? he never speaks
Rahul Gandhi ?? he is still a novice and is totally knowledge-less.

Vote for a able leader of your choice, but make sure corruption and inflation doesn't hurt us again. At the end of the day we are the looser, Make sure you prove it wrong !

No doubt MGR, NTR, Jayalalitha were actors and able Chief Ministers. However, many of them are failures - like Amitabh, Rajesh Khanna, Vinod Khanna, Hemamalini, Vyjayanthimala, Shatrughan Sinha, Raj Babbar to name a few. They are good actors but not good politicians.
However, here many commentators advised Sudeep not to join dirty Congress. Now can you tell me is there any clean Party in India? Congress corrupt. Then BJP is what? Corrupt Communal. Corruption is bad but Communalism is very bad. While Congress has corruption in them, communally motivated BJP inherits both – corruption communalism.

Since long rumour mill is abuzz that superstar Rajinikanth will join politics. But, Rajini Sir himself has neither confirmed nor denied the news. Once again reports suggest that Rajinikanth will soon make his plunge into politics, after Narendra Modi has been d as BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate for forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2014. Sources say the veteran actor is close to Modi.

Moreover, Tamil Nadu unit of BJP sent out feelers to superstar Rajinikanth. Making an appeal to the Tamil movie icon recently was BJP state president Pon Radhakrishnan who is in Trichy supervising preparations for a youth rally scheduled to be addressed by Modi on September 26.

The Tamil movie icon originally hails from Bangalore and did several Kannada movies Thappida Thala, Garjana, Maathu Tappada Maga, and Kumkuma Rakshe, to name a few and has a huge fan following across Karnataka. WHY NATIONAL PARTIES HIRE ARTISTS WHEN ELECTIONS ARE FAST APPROACHING?
OUR POLITICIANS ARE SUTHRADHARIS WITH CINE ARTISTS ACTING ACCORDING TO THEIR TUNES AT THE STAGE DURING ELECTIONS.
NO PARTY IS EXCEPTION TO THIS JUST FOR THE SAKE OF POWER & LOOTING THE COUNTRY AT THE EARLIEST BUT WE FOOLS ARE VOTING TO THESE GOOD FOR NOTHING.
LET EVERYBODY ELECT INDEPENDENTS WITH GOOD RECORDS SO THAT LET THE DEMOCRACY PREVAIL INSTEAD OF HIGH COMMAND RULING AND LOOTING THE COUNTRY.
REJECTING PARTY CANDIDATES IS THE ONLY SOLUTION TO STOP POLITICIANS LOOTING.

If we consider as a whole,in India most of the celebrities be it sports stars or film stars who entered politics/won the election/became minister couldn't get any success in politics compared to professional poticians.

So its not important in politics from where he comes but what he do's not's.

Temporarily particular party can gain something but not much use to the society from them.

After all ye hai poli tricks...

THese film stars joining politics is not a new thing....In films what ever they do is for the betterment of the people. But when they have an opportunity in hand they really dont do anything.

It the greed for money that pulls them to politics and not the welfare of the people. They have tasted success in the reel world. now they want it in the real world and for that they use politics as a ladder.
