Mangalore: 'Rickshaw Driver' Tulu movie to hit theatres soon

Mangalore, Sep 23: In India, especially in Tulunadu, one mode of transportation that is available any time of the day is auto rickshaw. The strenuous life of the auto rickshaw drivers, as well as their usefulness to society will be showcased on the silver screen in the movie aptly titled 'Rickshaw Driver'.

The movie, all set to hit theatres soon, also depicts how rickshaw drivers are helpful to people. Besides, it will also give prominence to communal harmony. Overall, the movie is a well balanced, well blended, with a moral and social message. It also conveys how women and children should be alert and take precautions while travelling by autos.

For the first time in Tulu film industry, renowned Kannada actors like Avinash (Aaptamithra fame) Padmaja Rao (Mugarumale fame) Chitra Shenoy, Suresh Mangalore are in the lead roles. Jenny, a famous belly dancer from Russia, has been specially flown in for the film. Karthik Banjan (Karthik Attavar) will sparkle as hero in the movie. Sara Sharma from Mumbai (Telugu actress) and Neha Saxena from Delhi (Kannada, Telugu actress) are the lead heroines.

The presence of Tulunadu comedy kings like Naveen D Padil (in double role) Arvind Bolar, Bojaraj Vamanjoor, Satish Bandale and comedians from recent TV show “Bale Thelipale’ will give an added flavor to the film with their rib-tickling comedies. African dance of Naveen D Padil and Arvind Bolar’s ‘open Gangam style’ dance etc are the other highlights of this film.

Melodious songs, sung by senior Hindi singer Udit Narayan, Shankar Mahadevan, Ringa Ringa fame Priya Himesh, Ah Aante Amalapura fame Malathi, Saindavi and Kannada singers like Rajesh Krishnan, Chaitra, Baby Hiranmayi and Mangalore fame Anita D’Souza have already become hits in the region and appreciated in social networking sites. The ‘Udal Kadal’ song has been viewed by over 1,00,000 viewers in just six days, thus creating history.

The movie has been produced under the banner of Sri Muthu Film’s production, with Praveen Kumar Konchady as the producer. He has also written the script, story and screenplay. His maiden Kannada movie ‘Ekameva’ had won Mexico Anthartaya Prashashti and 2 Karnataka Rajya Prashasthi.

Santhosh Kumar Konchady is the assistant producer. The movie has been directed by Ha Su Rajashekar of ‘Oriyadori Asal’ fame, with music by Wahab Saleem Puttur, action by Kaurav Venkatesh, choreographed by Kannada Madan-Harini. Niranjan Babu Bangalore and Vijay Crasta Melkar with camera and Keshava Suvarna with art have contributed significantly to this movie.

    Hats off to that small girl,I don't no her name
    The shooting took place near Panchlingeshwara temple road at Kampa and small houses near by and the shooting used to take place late nights and even ,as I remember girl was also took part in late night shoot for a song "Mama mama...." I dont remember the full song.

    In commemoration of such service the oldest Rickshaw driver (in Mangalore) Montu Lobo, Valencia should have been given a small role to play in this movie.
    He is not only a good rickshaw drive but also an orator. I remember he used to campaign for congress (MLA) candidates during 70’s.

    Wow.. The Hero will give Ranbir, Hritik and Salman a complex. If Mogambo was alive then he would have been inspired by this villain.
