Udupi: Canute Mathias to present maiden musical show on Sep 25

Udupi, Sep 24: Canute Mathias, known as ‘Sangeeth Kunvar’ of Shirva is all set to present his first musical show on Wednesday September 25 here.
The musical entertainment show will be presented by Canute at his own residence ‘Florine Palace’ at Pilar-Shirva from 6 pm onwards. Approximately 1000-1500 crowd is anticipated for the live show and dinner has been arranged for the audience on occasion of the inauguration of Canute’s Group of Establishments – ‘Canute’s Music Academy’, ‘Comfort Rent-A-Car’, ‘CM’s Pro Sounds’and ‘Sweet Tunes’ music band.
The inaugural ceremony of Canute’s Music Academy and Comfort Rent-A-Car will be held at CK Complex of Shirva on the same day at 5 pm.
An ocean of stars will perform along with Canute on his first musical show. Sangeeth Samrat Henry D’Souza, Eric Ozario, Gurkar Mandd Sobhann and Kalaangann, Yodling King Melwyn Peris, Kenny Zuzarthe of Mumbai, and Melody Star Maxim Periera along with other stars like Adolf Jayathilak, Kevin Misquith, Prajoth D’sa, Anil D’sa, Arun Danty, Vinay Louis, Dony Pinto, Neil Quadros, Shawn Periera, Ravindra Prabhu, Lavita Lobo, Melissa, Nayana Rajgopal and many more will perform with Canute on this musical extravaganza.
Top music directors of Managlore Roshan D’Souza Anjelore and Rajgopal Bhat will provide the musical backup.
Chancellor of Udupi diocese Fr Valerian Mendonca will present the hit Konkani song ‘Rozlin Mojya Mogachen’.
The event will be blessed by vicar general of Udupi diocese Msgr Dr Baptist Menezes in the presence of Fr Valerian Mendonca, Fr Stany Tauro, parish priest of Shirva parish, Fr Louis D’sa, parish priest Mudarangady parish, and Fr Alban D’Souza, parish priest Stella Maris Church, Kalmady. The show will be hosted by well known MC Alwyn Danty Pernal.
David D’Souza, president of Mudrangady gram panchayat will be the chief guest. Ronald Manohar, Elvis Patrao, D Bhai of Mumbai, Michael D’Souza, proprietor of ‘King of Kings’ Constructions, Prakash Shetty, proprietor of ‘Marina Grace’ Shirva will be the special invitees.
Canute being a musician, singer and lyricist, made a mark in the Konkani music world after the success of his first musical album ‘Bhognam’ which was released on January 1, 2010.
Eight music albums in four months
Known for his innovative ideas, Canute Mathias is all set to launch eight music albums in Konkani in a span of just four months.
Canute’s second music album ‘JaiKristha’ (devotional) will be released on Christmas, December 25, 2013. Joel Pereira, well known music director of Mangalore will give music for this album.
Third music album ‘Kalzanthlin Bhognam’ will be released on January 1, 2014 at Mudrangady Church Grounds musical show. Rajgopal Bhat and Cloy will provide the music for this album.
Fourth album ‘Konkan Taran’ will be released on January 18, 2014 during the musical show at Shirva. Henry D’Souza, Eric Ozario, Melwyn Peris, Claud D’Souza, Wilson Olivera, Maxim Periera have signed up for this album. Roshan D’Souza, well known music director of Mangalore will render the music for this album.
Fifth album ‘UdevnEvnchiTaran’ will be released on Easter Day. Once again Rajgopal Bhat and Cloy will give music for this album.
Sixth album ‘Canute’s Sweet Tunes’ will be released shortly after Easter. Again Roshan D’Souza will give music for this album.
Seventh album ‘Mandd Sobhann Baila Medley’ (in association with Eric Ozario) will be released mid of April 2014. Guitar magician, Alwyn (Babu) will give music for this album.
Eighth album ‘Female Hits of Canute’ will be released during the third week of April 2014. Anjelina film’s music director, Dolvin will give music for this album.
Ninth album ‘Konkani Dance Mix’ in association with DJ Danny and DJ Rosh will be released on December 31, 2013. This will be a remix of Konkani dance numbers with foot tapping music.
The task according to Canute is not at all a difficult one as he believes totally in positive approach and positive thinking. He is confident of releasing all these eight musical albums in four months' time. Canute has asked the music directors not to compromise on quality of music and to give their best. Lyrics for all the eight albums will be used from different sources. Well-known lyricists Anil D’Souza, Pernal, Wilfy Pangla, Dolvin, Roshan D’Souza and Canute Mathias himself will render lyrics for these albums. For ‘KonkanTaran’, Henry D’Souza, Eric Ozario, Melwyn Peris, Claud D’Souza, Maxim Periera and Canute himself will render two songs each.
For Canute’s Sweet Tunes music album, top singing sensations of Bollywood (names start with ‘S’) a male and a female will render their voice. Canute has not yet revealed the names of the three artistes and has asked people to guess. The best guess will be awarded with a touch screen mobile and a chance to meet these artistes. About Canute
Canute was born to the late Jerome Mathias and the late Florine Mathias on February 11, 1975. He did his graduation at St Mary’s College in Shirva (1995).
During 1995-1997, he was the lead singer for ‘Symphony’ music band of Udupi and later joined ‘Strings’ music band as the lead singer. In the year 1998, he stepped into the Gulf (Abu Dhabi) for job. During 1999-2003, he was the lead organ player for St Joseph’s Church choir of Abu Dhabi. In the year 2003, he shifted to Dubai and in the year 2004, he launched ‘Clement’s Music & DJ’ in Dubai. Well-known in Dubai as ‘CanMat’ DJ, Canute rendered his service as a DJ for many private parties and stage shows. Later he was the lead singer for the well known music band ‘Sweet Melodies’ of renowned musician Arun Carlo.
He was an active committee member of USWAS Shirva. He was elected the president of USWAS in the year 2008-2009.
