Riyad, Sep 25: Aangann Konknnechem Riyadh held its annual general body meeting at Al Jaww in Riyadh on Friday September 20.
 
The following members were elected as office bearers to form the executive committee

President:                     Arun D’Souza, Palimar
Vice president:              Marcel D’Souza, Shirva
General secretary:         Glen Roshan Lobo, Bondel
Joint secretary:             Janet Alva, Mudarangadi
Coordinators:                Manoj Mascarenhas, Urva and Carol D’Souza, Bangalore
Treasurer:                     Alfred Fernandes, Sirsi and Vinod Dias, Bantwal
Cultural secretaries:      Jaison Cardoza, Udyavar and Saritha D’Souza, Palimar
Sports secretaries:       Felix D’Silva, Paladka and Veera Barboza, Shirva
PRO:                           Gerald D’Souza, Mudarangadi

Anil and Flossy Albuquerque, Mumbai were chosen as the advisors to AKR executive committee.

The detailed financial statement was given by Alfred Fernandes highlighting the contributions and expenditures incurred. Report also included AKR's contribution to the sick and needy through various trusts and individuals.

The meeting started with lunch sponsored by Carol and Allen D'Souza, Bangalore and the venue was sponsored by Gerald D'Souza, Mudrangadi. The meeting ended on a happy note. After the meeting, members participated in various games like housie-housie, cricket, volley ball and throw ball. Few dived into the pool to refresh themselves.

Aangann Konknnechem Riyadh is a non profitable organization involved in promoting Konkani culture and language through various programs in Riyadh. They have also conducted several programs to help the youth to promote their talent since its inception in 2007. They are helping the poor for their educational needs and also involved with several charitable institutions in Mangalore.
