Hajj Bhavan to come up in Mangalore: Siddu

Bangalore, Sept 26 (DHNS): Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced on Wednesday that the State government would construct Hajj Bhavans in Mangalore and Gulbarga for the convenience of pilgrims from those regions.

Speaking at the inauguration of the flights for Hajj pilgrims in the city, Siddaramaiah said the government had already identified land for the buildings and would finalise the project at the earliest.

“In Mangalore, three acres of land is available. The State government is committed towards constructing the Bhavans,” he said.

Siddaramaiah said the construction of the Hajj Bhavan in Yelahanka is underway and that Rs 10 crore had been allocated for the purpose in this year’s budget.

Siddaramaiah claimed that the law and order situation in the State had improved after the Congress government came to power.

“We will not allow any sort of communal violence to happen. The government will provide protection to all the minority communities and no one needs to fear,” he said.

    @Siddharth, Mangalore.
The need of the hour is not Bhavans, Mantapas based on communal lines, but to make use of all public facilities irrespective of caste or creed.

Pls write to Siddhu, about the usage of these buildings for all communities as Siddharth, Mangalore said,(pls read my comment on his suggestion too).

    Thanks.

Mr Siddu, should realize that government land is not his ancestors property.
Three acres of land in Mangalore is at least worth around Rs 15 crore.
The Wakth board has plenty of underutilized land in prime places which is misused by the board members.
Donation to minority is treated as secular and considered communal if it happens to a temple.

why cant there be a Bhavan which can be used by all irrespective of religion . Hajj is performed during a particular time so reserve it for Hajj , rest of the time it can be used for various other purposes . But ya for vote bank politics we can build hajj bhavan , ram bhavan and jesus bhavan and divide the country

One more example of vote bank politics. Mr. CM, dont forget that you have won not only on the basis of minority votes and dont forget that you are the CM of the entire state and not only for a community. Its people like you who are solely responsible for the communal divide in the country. You and ur party are truly PSEUDOSECULAR.

Mr CM appreciate that you are doing good for our brothers,
My question is can Hindus and Christians too get something similar too for their holy pilgrimage ?

Please don't be biased to one community, this is the major reason that creates communal tensions.

Excuse me. Weekly Rape, Daily Murders, Temple loot, Basadi theft, prisoner escape Call Center Attacks... etc etc... Are these not the failures of law and order?

It probably serves good if Hajj Bhavan is constructed. However, what I do not understand is, is it Government's business?
We have so many religious leaders, religious institutions rich in cash (much more than Rs.10 Crores) who can take care of their needs themselves.
Yet another Government building to be constructed followed by another demonstration of Government's inability to maintain it whilst providing poor service etc. And all this with taxpayer's money.
Rs. 20 Crores (Mlore & Blore Hajj Bhavans) if properly utilized to uplift the pathetic condition of Government schools could have far reaching positive implications to the society. Money spinning private educational institutions are today proliferating and swindling public of their money in the name of education, are primarily due to Government's clear lack of focus & misplaced priority resulting in poor maintenance of educational institutions.
