Puttur: Married woman escapes from kidnappers' rape attempt

Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur

Puttur, Sep 26: An incident wherein an attempt was made to kidnap a married woman and then rape her was reported at Madavu  in Keyyur here on Wednesday September 25 evening.

The woman who was the victim of the kidnap bid escaped from the hands of the accused near Arambur in Sullia. As soon as the news spread, people gathered in large numbers at Puttur.

The woman is identified as Naushida, wife of Khadar from Madavu. She was admitted to Mahaveera hospital at night.

Naushida runs a tailoring class in Madavu. As per Naushiya’s statement, when she was going home after class, around 100 metres away from home, a blue Scorpio car waylaid her and three unidentified persons forcibly took her away in the car to Sullia.

In Arambur in Sullia, at a remote place, the kidnappers tried to rape her but Naushida managed to escape from their hands and run to a house which was half a kilometer away.

From the house, Naushida called her husband over the phone and narrated the incident. Her husband Khadar immediately rushed to her and admitted her to hospital.

Naushida said that the kidnappers spoke in Malayalam. As soon as the news spread, PFI activists gathered in large numbers in front of the hospital.

Puttur circle inspector Sudarshan, traffic inspector Rakshith and other officials controlled the crowd. People gathered demanded police to arrest the culprits soon.

The crowd calmed down only after they were assured of quick investigation.

This purely my personal opinion with no offense to anyone..... We have Lady BOLT in "Namma Kudla"....
This story looks like a trailer for the next episode of CID which is aired daily on Sony TV.... Many of you might have watched this bakwaas serial....
Maybe this story will inspire the celebrations on the completion of 1000 episodes of CID....
Just imagine THREE men in a SCORPIO cannot chase a woman for HALF a KILOMETER.....Forget Scorpio, even if they ran atleast one among the three should have caught up with her.....
She should be included in the Indian Athletic Association....

Boss its a good idea.. sadly this is a male dominated society. Men never like a noose around their neck while they happily tighten the same noose on the other gender in the garb of some or the other excuse.

@For Justice, Abu Dhabi / Ubar & Syed Mohiudin, Iruvail/Riyadh no need for exaggeration, Just 2 days back police caught people who were stealing cattle on the street at night in their Scorpio(that was my perception).. If those thugs can steal cattle at night (illegally and valiantly) the same type of thugs can do this heinous crime too... I never intended to hurt anyone’s modesty here..Apologies

It's proved that Burka too not safe for women aslong as lustful eyes existed. Because for them they well know men can't wear burka only its women's dress even though one cover her entire face.
My suggestion is why can't make uniform dress code for men & women so that both can wear burka from head to tail to hide their face and so as to protect from rapes..?

The administration at the Taluks level of our region should install CCTVs at all the road junctions, entry and exit points etc. If CCTVs are installed in places like Panchayat office, police stations, municipal offices, govt. health centers/hospitals etc. so many problems can be solved. Act now before it is too late.

Crime rate is reduced actually and also the crimes are coming out in public notice after Congress is come to power. No one is sheltering criminals now. When BJP was in power the minister itself were involved in the crimes so media was busy reporting them than reporting public crimes.......

Mrs.Naushiya acted brilliantly and with courage and hence could be able to escape from the clutches of animals. They might be fortified with the new ordinance enacted by the UPA govt wherein a convict politician can take part in election process against SC verdict.
Many more such ordinances are in the offing.Fake currency may be made legal, printing press doing fake currencies may be given regular permission, fake passport may be made legal, rapist may be d as heros, given free training by ordinance. This is the statee of things keeping in mind the number of our representatives sitting in Parliament and coming under the ambit of above categories. It is also possible that in coming days new govt may re-name our parliament as "Goonda House" like white House in Washington.Any thing is possible as all major political parties are hell bent on to appease "All sections" for votes. Here getting vote is important...all other things are next.
I complement Ms.Naushiya for the exemplary courage she has shown in the hour of crisis.
When the culprits are caught, people should teach a lesson and there is no need to inform the police. This does not amount taking law into our hand but only respecting married womens ststus in the soceity.

It's an alert that there are few culprits looking to ute such criminal acts. It's a wake up call for all women and their families to be alert and avoid such situations. Only we can save ourselves. because nothing is getting uted by our law and order to stop these. Don't expect there will be any in future also. It will be some press conference called to give assurances. More than that nothing will be done. So, it's our own responsibility to safegaurd us and our loved ones.
