Kundapur: Accident at Tekkatte claims bike rider's life

Kundapur, Sep 27: A man was killed after his bike rammed into a Tata Nano and another vehicle hit him at Tekkatte here on Friday September 27.

The deceased has been identified as Ashwath Madhysta (31), son of Manjunath Madhyastha, resident of Munoor, Hebbarbettu.

The accident took place near the government school at Tekkatte. Ashwath was riding a Bullet bike from Udupi to Kundapur, while the Tata Nano was plying from Kundapur to Udupi .

Due to the collision between the Bullet and the Tata Nano, Ashwath was thrown off and an Eicher vehicle plying towards Kundapur, rammed into him. Ashwath was rushed to hospital but breathed his last on the way.

The Nano car that swerved off the road was damaged in the accident.

He is survived by his wife Sumangala and a one-year-old child.

Ashwath was running Swastic hollow block factory at Vakwady Heggarbail. Prior to this he was working in the marketing department at Toyota company in Mangalore. He was also the ex-president of Rotaract Kundapur south.

A case has been registered in the Kota police station.
