Kasargod, Sep 28: Five persons with weapons travelling in a Scorpio car from Mangalore to Kasargod gave the slip to the police at around midnight on Saturday September 27.

The police seized the Scorpio as well as recovered three scythes, three iron rods, one exo blade, two masking tapes, two screw drivers, and a jack from the car. However, the men managed to escape.

Late night on Friday September 27, the police were patrolling Kumble area when they spotted a Scorpio car from plying from Mangalore and stopped it. On questioning, the persons inside the car said that they were going to Kasargod. When the police asked the driver to produce his licence, he did so.

The police then came forward to check the vehicle. The five men, realizing that they would be caught, pushed the policemen and escaped.

A policeman had already taken the key of the vehicle and hence the men had to leave it behind.

The police have confirmed that the Scorpio was stolen from Sakleshpur in Dakshina Kannada district on September 23. A search for the absconding persons is on.

when i saw the photograph i thought that police caught 4 culprits who are standing on either sides of the police.Later understood that the culprits are escaped (as usual) I do not understand how these culprits can escape? Why police could not chase them? this shows how brave our police is and how fit they are? Tomorrow you will find 3- 4 people covering their faces with black mask saying that the escaped culprits are arrested in Kasaragod at the end once again Kasaragod will be highlighted.

    Dear Ramakrishna K,

They must have spoken the language of Money and bribed the policemen, and these greedy, corrupt policemen who are giving a pose in the above picture must have let them go after getting paid handsomely. There is no case and no investigation be conducted. They will also get some money from the actual Car owner for returning his car back to him.

How is that in most of the cases culprits escape and only vehicle is impounded. In most of the cases vehicles are Stolen, so confiscated vehicle will not give much clue of culprits.
I am curious to know why even night patrol do not keep guns, and if they were having guns why they did not use it to shoot at the legs even while so many culprits were escaping before their eyes ?
One could understand the use of all other weapons & tools found in that car,but what is that typical iron pipe with handle which were not seen anywhere earlier.

Screw Drivers can be the best weapon, and many murders have taken place with the help of Screw driver alone.
Where is the tap in this picture. Taps are not so long and taps do not have handles like just Swords. Criminals can only explain for what purpose they use those long pipes with handle.

While talking to the Police and also while escaping these culprits must have spoken in some particular language among themselves. Then in which language they spoke ?

The Driver Showed the License. So do the Police atleast remember the name of that Driver written in the License, and the RTO office where it was issued ? OR whether these simple details have also escaped from the minds of Police ??
