Kuwait: KCWA to host Silver Jubilee Athletic Meet on Oct 16

Kuwait, Sep 28: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA), a premier Mangalorean association in Kuwait has turned 25 this year. As part of the silver jubilee celebrations, various events are planned.
 
Gear yourselves up for the first-of-its-kind sports event ‘KCWA Silver Jubilee Athletic Meet’, which will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 (during Eid Al Adha holidays) from 8 am to 7 pm in the Kuwait Athletic Association Stadium, Keifan - Kuwait.

The entry is open to all Mangalorean Catholics living in Kuwait. The day-long event comprises track and field activities and fun games for all age groups. This will also be an enjoyable time for fellowship, so be sure to set it aside on your calendar.

Mangalorean Catholics in Kuwait are requested to participate in the event in large numbers.

KCWA was formed in July 1988. The primary objective of KCWA is to provide financial assistance to the under privileged children to receive basic education back home in India, who cannot afford formal education. Over the years, KCWA worked for this noble cause and continually provided financial assistance to various educational institutions, and poor children of Canara region. KCWA provides financial help to the poor and needy brethren for the humanitarian causes as well. In Kuwait, KCWA has been consistently recognizing academic excellence and extra-curricular achievements of its members' children and also extending its helping hand to the jobless, poor and needy by providing financial and non-financial support. In addition, KCWA organizes social and cultural events to support brotherhood, foster fellowship, uphold our culture and to promote welfare of our people residing in Kuwait.

KCWA has planned to celebrate its silver jubilee by scheduling various events in Kuwait and the mega jubilee cultural event is scheduled to be held on April, 25, 2014.
