Dubai: Ashok Menezes to lead Pamboorians in UAE

Dubai, Sep 29: Ashok Menezes, a well-known and dynamic personality among Pamboorians, and also a talented singer and organizer, has been elected the main co-ordinator of Pamboorians (Pamboorians UAE Family Meet).

In a recently held general body meeting at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama, members of the association gathered to elect new working committee for the year 2013-2014.

The meeting commenced at 10.30 am with a prayer followed by a welcome note from outgoing president Veronica Alva. The meeting had a brief review of all the activities handled during the previous years.

During the election process Ashok Menezes was unanimously elected president and Vijay Dhiraj D’Souza, the vice-president.

New committee members are as below:

Main co-ordinator (president)  : Ashok Menezes
Vice co-ordinator (vice-preside)   : Vijay Dhiraj D’Souza
Treasurer               : Diany D’Souza
Cultural committee : Agnel Prakash D’souza and Michelle Quadras

After the election, outgoing president Veronica Alva thanked the committee and the members for their consistent support during her tenure and requested all to work together to strengthen the unity among Pamboorians. Newly elected main co-ordinator Ashok Menezes thanked the outgoing president and committee members for successfully leading Pamboorians during their tenure. He emphasized that this is a new challenge assigned to him and promised to continue all the good work carried out during previous years. He requested the committee and all the members for their full support and assured to do his best for the unity and continuity of the good work.
