Mumbai: Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti holds annual meet

Mumbai, Sep 30: The metro-based Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti, NGO, striving for integral development of undivided Dakshina Kannada (DK) district of Karnataka, convened its eighth annual general body meeting and annual get-together at Silver Inn Hotel ballroom, Andheri (East) here on Saturday September 28 night.

JSKPPS founder Tonse Jayakrishna A.Shetty offered motion for both the programmes on the occasion. JSKPPS president Harish Kumar M.Shetty presided the programme. The veteran Tulu – Kannadiga leader M.D.Shetty was the specially-invited guest present.

Speaking on the occasion, M.D.Shetty said that JSKPPS has the right objective of societal development that is not understood by the people of undivided DK district.  There is no meaning in blaming the peoples’ representatives, because Indian politics is the sole cause that is worst in the world.  None of them have the patience to understand the issue in right perspective.  Its due to this, mega projects have found strong foothold against their will, while the deprived locals feel even the good intentions are ill conceived.  Therefore, its essential JSKPPS got to earn the trust of local populace, said M.D. Shetty.

Jayakrishna Shetty said that undivided DK district is the cradle of banking, hotspot of education institutions, health care services, but, its irony that the growth does happen as foreseen by JSKPPS.  Meanwhile, since JSKPPS waged struggle to finish off the environmentalists, there are signs that the investors trust has returned to contribute for the development of district, said Jayakrishna Shetty.

JSKPPS president Harish Kumar Shetty in his presidential address said that JSKPPS aims to alleviate the poverty of undivided DK and bring about equality in income that would lead to communal harmony.  The support of locals is essential to empower the district economically.  The employment of local educated youth, employment opportunities for local skilled personnel and scope for self-employment are the objectives which JSKPPS hopes to achieve, said Harish Kumar.

JSKPPS vice presidents L.V.Amin and Balakrishna P.Bhandary were present on the dais.
JSKPPS vice president Dharmapal U.Devadiga welcomed the gathering.  The honorary chief secretary Nityanand D.Kotian presented the annual report.  The honorary treasurer chartered accountant I.R.Shetty presented the annual account.
JSKPPS former president advocates K.P.Prakash L.Shetty, Sasidar Kaup and B. Subash Shetty, Vishwanat U.Mada,  Surendra Kumar Hegde, Hiriyadka Mohandas, Lokapal Bangalore, JSKPPS DK district vice president K.P.Jagdish Adhikari shared their views for the integral development of undivided DK district.

JSKPPS honorary secretaries G T Acharya, Chandrashekar R Belchada, Tonse Sanjeev Poojary, Raviraj Kalianpur and Tulsidas Amin, joint treasurer Ravi Mendon Kurkal, Harry R. Sequeira, executive Committee members Kutpady Ramachandra M Ganiga, B Muniraj Jain Ajila, S K Sriyan, Dr Prabhakar Shetty B, M N Karkera, K M Kotian Chitrapu, Santosh Rai Bellipady, Babu S Shetty, Ravindranat Bhandary, Uday Hegde, advocate John D’Silva and others were also present.

Shimunje Parari rendered the prayers.  The silent prayers were offered for the repose of JSKPPS members Dr K.Sanjeev Shetty, Professor Sitaram R Shetty and P Ramesh on the same occasion.  The honorary chief secretary Suresh Shetty Yeyyady proposed vote of thanks.
