Jammu, Mar 6: A jawan opened fire on Sunday night killing four of his colleagues before turning the gun on himself at an Army camp on the outskirt of Jammu city.
The jawan took out his gun after a verbal duel between two groups of Army men over accommodation at a camp at Miransahib and opened fire killing the four on the spot before he committed suicide, Brigade Commander Brig Manjit Singh said.
He said the jawans came to Miransahib from Kargil on Saturday for temporary duty. A court of inquiry had been ordered into the incident, Singh added.
