Mangalore, Oct 2: The members of Hindu Suraksha Samiti Adyar staged a protest on Wednesday October 2 near Sahyadri College, Adyar here, demanding justice in the suspected murder case of 18-year-old Akshata who was found dead under mysterious circumstances on September 24.

The protestors also blocked the highway for a few minutes to express their anger.

Addressing the protestors, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “The police department has failed to do its duty and media has remained mute spectator to such atrocities. A few associations, police and media highlighted the Padil home stay issue and many other attacks and made them national news. But this rape case has been neglected. Rape and atrocity cases have been increasing at an alarming rate in the recent months. The society is in danger.”

“The police department has failed to solve such cases. In Akshata’s case, the police have been unable to trace Madan. This shows the shortcoming in the police department. A massive protest will be held in the coming days if the case is not solved,” he added.

Hindu Jagarana Vedike leader Sathyajeet Suratkal said that rapes and other atrocities on women have been increasing and the police must be more alert and nab them.

"Madan, who has been absconding ever since Akshata's death and who is accused in the case, is still not arrested, which shows involvement of hidden hands in the case. The entire Hindu society will step into the streets and protest if such incidents continue," he warned.

Subhash Padil, Dayanand Adyar and a number of protestors were present.

This young MP from Mangalore has proved useless. For past 4 and half years, he did nothing to Mangalore. He boasts of spending lot of Money for DK but God knows where he utilized this money. Never heard him speak so far on any developmental issues of DK. He kept mum like Kumbakarna. Now he is full active and trying his best to impress future voters by his dirty tricks.

We all understand how grave is Akshatha's death is. Madan should be arrested at any cost immediately. If some unseen hand is protecting Madan from arrest, we want to know Name of Such a person. Protectors of Madan should be dragged in public. Police will buckle under pressure many times. To know real story of what exactly happened to Akshatha is the right of every citizen on DK. We do not want innocent girls to die like this. Madan .... you ....

It is absoulute failure of State Govt. to capture the culprit. Most of time, unseen hands enters the legal process to allow the culprit to escape. I dont understand why many pseudos here make hue & cry.

Atleast MP Nalin Kumar Kateel should have advised Hindu Suraksha activists that Gandhi Jayanti day was not the right time. Poor Nalin Kumar is afraid that he wont get BJP ticket in coming election! Hindu Suraksha Samithi should help give financial help to Akshata's family instead of cheap publicity and BJP drama. Nalin Kumar start collecting money from BJP business men and help Akshata's family. What happened to Saujanya's case?Being a MP what have you done so far?

Why is MP involving in local affairs...Unlike previous BJP govt who used police to attack minorities...present govt headed by SHRIMAAN SIDDARAMAIAH does not do the same...May justice prevail.

Last few months of Naleen Kumar Kateel as an MP. What stunts is he trying at the fag end of his term ?

Look at the faces of the Bajrang Dal Cadres blocking the road ! If these young / energetic / well fed men were in factories / industries, increasing production for export, our country would have been much more prosperous. Instead these goons are wasting time blocking a National Highway and delaying raw materials from reaching the industries.

Hello Mr.Uneducated MP, first of all till now there is no evidence that its rape and murder... why cant use your little brain and think about other possibilities like both of them might have committed suicide and that's why he is not traceable and his body is not recovered, why you want to project him as rapist and murderer.
You people didn't had guts to protest when soujanya rape and murder took place and most of the people know who is the real culprit. So its better to be fair to every one being MP and you need to raise your voice in each such cases and not which are convenient to you.

You know it too well that the police will not be able to apprehend the rapists because they have the capacity to buy you lock, stock and barrel. Prove me wrong.
