Kundapur: Man killed as car rams into two-wheeler

Kundapur, Oct 3: An accident between a car and a two-wheeler on Thursday October 3 at Guddeangady on Koteshwar-Halady road here claimed the life of 32-year-old man.

The deceased has been identified as Bhoja Naik, son of Bachcha Naik, and resident of Ulloor, Shankaranaryana.

Bhoja was riding his Honda Activa from Bidkalkatte to his in-laws' house at Tekkatte, when a Maruti 800 car rammed into his two-wheeler at Guddeangady near Bidkalkatte. The driver of the car has been identified as Shridhar.

The impact of the collision wsa such that Bhoja got thrown off the two-wheeler and succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Bhoja Naik was a coolie worker who was also engaged in centring work. He leaves behind his wife  Rajeshwari and their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Vaishnavi.

Kota police arrived on the spot.

The body was shifted to Kundapur government hospital.

Udupi district health and educational local committee president and zilla panchayat member Ganapati T Shriyan condoled Bhoja Naik's demise.

A case has been registered in Kota police station.
