Dubai, Oct 6: United Brahmavarites(UB), an association of Brahmavarites spread across UAE gathered along with their well-wishers, friends and families at Fortune Plaza Hotel here on Friday October 4 to celebrate the completion of two successful years of the association's formation in the UAE

The gathering gave a great opportunity for all Brahmavarites to exchange greetings and strengthen mutual bonds. Ajith Peter D’Souza, a talented personality, versatile in many fields like music, literature and poetry, highly motivated and famous for his three Konkani music albums, was the chief guest of the function.

The programme began at 12 noon with a meaningful prayer by Deral Menezes and Welcome dance by Ishita Shekar. Compere Deral Menezes gave a small introduction about United Brahmavarites and mentioned the purpose of such a get-together which not only brings people together but also enriches cordiality and enhances unity.

United Brahmavarites president Jeevan Sequeira, welcomed the chief guest Ajith Peter D’Souza, senior UB member Thomas Suares to the dais along with secretary Roshini Menezes. Chief guest Ajith Dsouza signed his signature on the backdrop and in a very unique way inaugurated the programme. This was followed by the president, secretary, sponsors and all artists signing up and expressing their unity and solidarity to the UB group.

Roshini Menezes, the secretary of United Brahmvarites read a brief report about the forum and presented the future plans and activities.

Thomas Suares, in his address encouraged UB to increase its sphere of influence and activities.

Chief guest Ajith Peter D’Souza suggested how optimism helps bring forth a radical positive change and manifestation and appreciated UB’s efforts in bringing such a change.

This was followed by felicitation of the sponsors by president Jeevan Sequeira.

UAE's talented singer Asha Sequeira along with up-and-coming young music composer Ajith Peter D'Souza entertained the audience with superhit Konkani songs. Well known music director Cyril Baptist provided enchanting music and Roshan Dalmeida, an emerging DJ in Dubai kept the audience on the dance floor with his rythmic music.

The dance performances by UB ladies wing, “Sirandharicho Pavs” and by small Kids “Shetkarachya Bhatani” stole the show away. There were very entertaining dances from Ashlin, Shayan and Kelrina.

Feat Beat group which is well-known for its elegant performances delighted the gathering with their scintillating dances. Humorous skits from the Abu Dhabi trio Deral, Newton and Prakash sent the audience in peals of laughter.

Johnson Dsilva kept the audience live and entertained with his games and jokes.

The main attraction of the programme was the Konkani comedy drama “Keppyachim Khestavam” by Claud Dsouza. A one hour hilarious drama with superb performances by actors Lynell Monteiro, Rupert Dailemida, Pius James and Janet Sequeira ethralled the audience all along. Cyril Baptist gave the background music for this drama and Sannu Monis assisted in direction and make up.

UB vice president Allwyn Crasta proposed the vote of thanks. This was followed by the Grand Lucky Draw where many prize were won.

The well-organized programme gave a clear indication that United Brahmavarites and its office-bearers are committed to delivering quality programmes. The programme came to an end with the baila dance that had almost everyone in the gathering tapping their feet on the dance floor.

Overall, it was a fun filled and enjoyable day for all who attended this function.
