Bangalore: Minorities not repaying loans is okay, part of development process: KPCC chief

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Oct 6: With Lok Sabha elections not far away, the state Congress seems to be firing all guns in a bid to woo the minorities. At a Congress workshop here on Saturday October 5, KPCC chief Dr Parameshwar even went as far as to say that it would be okay for minorities to not repay loans taken from the government.

Terming such non-repayment of loans by people as 'part of the development process' Parameshwar said that many people take loans from government and do not repay, ending up cheating the government of huge sums of money, and therefore, it is not a big deal if minorities do it too.

He suggested that Karnataka Minorities Developement Corporation give big amounts going into several lacs of rupees as loans to people from the minority community. "Let them dupe if they want to. Many officials and other people have cheated the government of thousands of crores. It is all a part of the development process," he said.

Reacting to the statement, state BJP president Prahlad Joshi said that Congress is taking the minorities for a ride by making such statements. "It is nothing new for Congress," he said.

Former chief minister and KJP chief B S Yeddyurappa slammed the statement and said that it was irresponsible of a person holding a such a high office in the state to make statements just to appease the minorities. "It sends a wrong signal to the people and gives bad impression about the government," he said.

Nothing but vote bank politics. This is totally irresponsible and the KPCC President or the CM if not the UPA President or VP has to warn this person and make him withdraw this statement. As it is this nation is ruined because of reservations, now minorities have a licence not to repay loans - whose father's what goes ??????? How can any one advocate not repaying loans - he was on record asking amounts upto 50 laks to be disbursed as loans to the minority's !!!!!!Thank God we have a Judiciary that stems the rot initiated by these self centered half baked Politicians - if not our country would have been worse than some of the African Nations.

Every body knows the reasons for minority craziness among the congress idiots. Out of 100 pc, nearly 30 or 35 pc of voters do not caste their votes but all of them are Hindus. Out of 65 pc all nearly 18 pc minority votes would be cast for congress or other pseudo secular parties on en mass. Another 20 or 25 pc votes enough to ascend the throne. If 30 or 35 pc of Hindu votes are polled, congress or pseudo secular parties can not come to power. That is why congress is not interested in electoral reforms. Minorities do not vote as per their conscience but on guidelines of their leaders. Unless this minority voting pattern is broken over we can not bring accountability on the leaders on governance. Callous and irresponsible leaders like Parameshwara compete each other ready to lick the boots of minorities. We hope Modi in this election may put a full stop to the minority politics and redeem the nation from the clutches of congress misrule.

FAMOUS LOOTERS are now openly suggesting Minorities to CHEAT STATE by not repaying loans to Government Agencies. It is time for the People of Karnataka to feel PRIDE for electing Government of such HIGH MORALE!
This is what Congress calls secularism .This double standards of Congress has already ruined India. Sonia could not care less about India. She is an agent of foreign forces which are against the majority in this country and all the top positions of UPA government are held by minority. If we do not nip pseudo-secularism in the bud, these short sighted politicians will bring about disintegration of our country.
This is a height of minority appeasement by these selfish congressmen which will lead our country to destruction. Why this statement should not be considered as divide and rule strategy of congress. It is congress which has the strategy of polarization and not any other party in our country. Minorities should understand this politics and think if congress was the only minority favoring party then why muslims are still considered as weak part of our society in spite of our country being ruled by congress for more than 50 years? They are keeping you in scarcity and using you as their vote bank from the very beginning. If you want to forgive the debts then do it for every poor person not only minorities.

Don't appease the so-called minorities as there are no minority and majority in India, everyone is equal and everyone has equal rights. May be their number is small compared to the "majority" but none of us are short of constitutional rights. If these politicians really want to help people, then help those downtrodden, poverty-stricken and lesser income people irrespective of their religion. There are rich and poor in every communities, as such focusing only on "minorities" when election is around the corner is harming the less privileged people from majority community. It is only in India we have such differences, not in other countries. Beware of these dirty politicians who don’t hesitate to openly bribe people of some sections.

As regards SC & ST , the ST (Scheduled Tribe) group is found to be more Honest in repayment of loan as compared to other groups in this category.

I still remember my neighbor’s opinion regarding non-payment of Bank Loan taken for his higher studies. Amount was meager but still didn’t pay back his loan by saying “Almost all big Business Men and Politicians duped crores of rupees to various National Banks and mine is little contribution only” Believe me this person is professionally qualified like me and occupied very good post in one of the reputed Company at Mumbai but yet he has not paid his bank loan amount

Same mindset applies to all loans whether taken from Govt depts directly, or through PSU Banks. Honesty Quotient (HQ) differ from community to community due to social reasons or environment in the society of certain communities inspite of being affluent.
HQ differs widely country-wise also. All Scandinavian Countries ( Denmark-Norway-Finland-Holland-Sweden) are ranking in first five spots in HQ rating considered as most Honest, and India occupies lower 82nd spot in HQ rating and Pakistan's rank is 124 in HQ rating. In India due to Politicians the Honesty of even common people has deteriorated after our Independence. Parmeshwar's great advise to Monirity is just one small example.

KPCC chief Dr Parameshwar seems to be a hearty man...he can as well pay off all the debts from his personal treasury as part of the development process of the State / Country...we can infact give him a befitting reward for his noble gesture...

Minorities not repaying loans is NOT O.K.

Please report who are not repaying!
Non repayment is VERY BAD CULTURE!
Don't want to be branded as defaulters!
Govt can give moratorium only to deserving persons!

You guys remember minorities more and your own parents and family less during elections?

"Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation give big amounts going into several lacs of rupees" - to whom sir?

I didn't know there is a development corporation for minorities as minorities never saw any sort of development which was government aided.

Sing this song to minorities of Bihar/UP/Gujarat and they would believe you.

Who is government. We the people of this country called government. Government loan, Who's money is this. We are the tax payers and all the money comes to the government from us. If the government's attitude is like this then God only can help and save our country. If the government thinks this way then what about the development of our state and country. Do we need such a irresponsible people to rule us. Tax payers please think twice before you vote.
