New Delhi, Mar 10: Kingfisher Airlines has won the Best New Domestic Airlines for Excellent Services and Cuisine given by the Pacific Area Travel Writers Asociation (PATWA).

The award was presented at the world's biggest travel fair ITB Berlin today, a release by the airlines said.

UB Group President and CFO A K Ravi Nedungadi who received the award said the airlines' approach of providing guests with a "delightful and unique flying experience" had been recognised.

The award is given in association with Messe Berlin in recognition of efforts to promote tourism from various sectors such as aviation, hotels, travel agencies, tour operators and government agencies.

Commenting on the strides made by Kingfisher Airlines, PATWA Secretary General Sagar Ahluwalia said, "in a short span since its launch the airlines has raised the bar in terms of service".
