Kundapur DySP calls for peaceful celebration of festivals

Kundapur, Oct 9: Kundapur DySP, C B Patil has called for peaceful, harmonious, cordial and meaningful celebration of Sharadotsava and Bakrid festivals.

He was speaking at a peace meeting held at the Raktheshwari temple hall in Kundapur police lane on Monday, October 7.

Festivals should not give room for religious differences.  We should not listen to antisocial elements and such news, he said.

Religious feelings, beliefs and traditions of each other need to be respected in order to make the celebrations meaningful.  Kundapur area has the reputation for peaceful co existence and such trust and tradition should be maintained, he said.    

S I Jayarama Gowda spoke and requested to keep the volume of DJ sound low as when the procession passes through schools and hospitals, they may be troubled by huge sound.  Let the procession be disciplined and in order.  Let the organizers control it with increased number of volunteers, he said.

B Parameshwara, sub inspector of traffic police station was present.  Religious heads of local mosques, office bearers of Sharadotsava committee, temple heads, office bearers of various organizations, BJP president of local constituency, Rajesh Kavery, Sadananda U., Kalappa Poojary, Bajrang Dal convenor Girish Kundapur, Narayana Guru Youth Mandala president Raghu Vittalavadi, Social worker Abu Mohammed and others were present.
