Mukyamantri Chandru bids goodbye to BJP, likely to join Congress

Narayana Swamy
Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Oct 10: In a surprise political development in the state capital, well-known Sandalwood actor and chairman of Kannada development board Mukyamantri Chandru resigned from BJP's primary membership.

Speaking to daijiworld from his residence, Chandru said that he is resigning for personal reasons, and that he has sent the resignation letter to BJP state president Prahlad Joshi.

Asked if he was disappointed with the BJP, he said, "Yes, I am disappointed that I have been sidelined in the party; there was hardly any place for me in the recent reshuffle of BJP committees."

There are rumours going around in political circles that Chandru might join Congress before the parliamentary elections. But when Daijiworld asked which party he was going to join next, he said, "I am not joining any political party, but I want to strive for the betterment of Kannada language. I have plans to contest in the forthcoming parliamentary polls, as I want to raise voice for Kannada in the parliament."

It is high time for BJP, RSS & VHP for soul searching!
Even at this juncture also, they are deserted and not voted to power means, they should introspect for the reason in their Chinthan Baitak!
In India like large Country, hard liners policy doesn't work! Even if applied will work for short while but the repercussions are dangerous.
Hardliners meet same fate as that of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria and Egypt!

Dear Chandru, just to conitinue your chairman post in Kannada Development Board, you are jumping from BJP to Congress. You will find success for sure, but it is not ethical.
Dear Congress, let him come first, but as soon as he comes, make him ordinary worker. Take his chairman post and give opportunity to those worked for the party since long time. Appreciate if you find someone in Mangalore like Gopala Bhandari or Vijay Kumar Shetty.

Mukya Manthri Chandru is popular person, not only in Karnataka, but to all the Kannadigas around the world, he has a BSc degree from Siddaganga College- Tumkur and LLB from Bangalore University and a Doctorate from Gulbarga University for his social, cultural & language services. He hails from middle class family, only son and has four sisters. During his struggle for job, he worked as clerk for B'lore University (now Bengaluru). He got his nick name as 'Mukya manthri" for his piece of work he presented in popular Kannada play " Kalagangotri", which he played as CM, since then he has been known as "Mukya manthri chandru", he did a character as politician, in Ambarish film "Chakravyuha", (which was later remade in Hindi as "Inquilaab" in which Mr. Amitaab Bacchan was Hero, Sri Devi as his leading lady).
He was brought into politics by late Mr. Ramakrishna Hegde in 1985 and joined Janatha Party and won as MLA from Gauribidanur, he later joined BJP under the influence of Mr. Yeddurappa and became a MLC, he is a very good actor but a strong supporter of Kannada movement, now follower and believer of late Mr. Ramakrishna Hegde and his strong supporter CM Siddu is welcoming him to Congress, so no doubt he will join Congress, now Mr. Yeddurappa is no more with BJP and his KJP has no prospect in up coming Lok Saha poll, he has realized he will get no where in this situation, only option is to join Congress and get a ticket for up coming Lok Sabha election.
We wish you all success Mr. Chandru in your political career in Congress, if situation changes he can always change parties, has he has no certain fixed agenda.
We have personally met Mr. Chendru, so we know his motives. Best of luck Mr. Chandru.

Why u joined BJP Mr.Chandru in the first place ? I am surprised that a personality from art and cinema was associated with BJP. Art needs absolute freedom of mind as a necessary condition. Only then imagination n creativity will fire. People very well know that BJP suppresses artistic expressions. Chandru should knw this lesson first about BJP and associated fringe organisations.
