Udupi, Oct 11: Popular singer Yo Yo Honey Singh is all set to provide a rocking evening to music fans in Manipal. The Punjabi artiste will perform live in concert on Saturday October 19 at M J C ground in Manipal. The event is being presented by Western institute of Technology, with Star Lit as the official coordinators.

Star Lit is a group formed by the young students of Manipal University.

Yo Yo Singh songs have become popular among the youth. Though he was born 'Hirdesh Singh', he took on the name of Honey Singh, and is popularly known as Yo Yo Singh in music circles.

Mafia Mundeer will also be performing in his group along with him.  The duo will be mesmerizing close to 12,000 people with electrifying music and peppy beats.

Honey Singh has been awarded ‘Best International Album 2012 - UK Asian Music’.  He has also been awarded Best Music director 2011 award for his Folkstar album, BritAsia Best International Act 2012 award and MTV VMAI award for best Indi Artist in 2013.

Yo Yo Honey Singh is a multi-talented musician. He is a rapper, mixer, music director, singer and actor.  He has worked with popular actors like Sharukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and music director Himesh Reshamiya within a short span of time.

The 'Yo Yo Manipal' event has been organized with the aim of bring talented and popular music artistes within the reach of music fans in Manipal, said the organizers.

    Times have changed unlike old times when even now i enjoy Rafis, Kishores ,Latas and Pankaj Udhas music. We from older ages have lost a sync with today's generation who get all facilities high end mobiles, pads whatever type, laptops, Mobile/Landline Internet and social networking sites logins even if they are 10 years old. Times have changed self control or a leash can change the huge gap PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE

    Only those audiences, mainly youngsters, again not all, who like fast numbers will show up for this event.

    Unlike, bollywood songs of pre-era year 2000, today's songs have no life. In weeks, people forget them.
