Mangalore: Two injured in bus-scooter accident at Muger

Mangalore, Oct 12: Two persons were injured when city bus hit their two-wheeler near Muger here on Saturday October 12.

The injured are Rajnish Amin, an art director by profession and his relative Ashwin.

It is said that Rajnish and Ashwin were on the way to Rajnish's wife's house in Thokkottu when the accident took place. It is learnt that Rajnish was taking some flowers for the baby shower function to be held at his wife's house.

The bus was plying from Talapady to Mangalore. The Honda Activa the two were riding was crushed under the bus.

Both were rushed to a private hospital.

Mangalore rural police have registered a case.

    Its been pathetic condition in M'lore driving.. May be Govt. or city busses, they swing on the road like rockets.. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND GOVERNMENT TO INTRODUCE SPEED LIMITS ON THE ROADS TO AVOID ACCIDENTS OR ANY OTHER WAYS APPROPRIATE. God bless the drivers!!

    I have a message for anyone injured or vehicle damaged in accident,please do not compromise with Bus owners including this one. I got cheated by this owner in one accident. And I got cheated by other who paid partial and never got the rest. Keep the case with Police until you get paid completely. Police department convince you and you get stuck with loss. This is my goodwill message.

    why blame bus driver in this? bus is on extreme left... what honda activa is doing on the right side? two wheeler s are biggest menace in town, bus drivers are not "SAINT"

    Well they are surely luck to be alive. If the accident did not kill them then the handling by the public definitely will. It should be made mandatory for all drivers to undergo a basic first aid course so that more lives are saved than destroyed. Also the person dragging the scooter from under the bus, I thought this was a crime scene, he should be arrested immediately.
