We Love Mangalore - Red FM 93.5 live studio on wheels paints city red

Mangalore, Oct 12: ‘Red Ratha’ by Red FM 93.5, a live studio on wheels has been painting the city red with its live programmes in different parts of Mangalore, with two shows a day.

Red Ratha is the first of its kind in the city and is being organized by Red FM for the second time. The vehicle is travelling to various hotspots across the city over a period of nine days, with RJs hosting the morning and evening shows live from the location.

Speaking to Daijiworld, Yashraj, programme manager said that the people of the city will get a clear cut idea and feel of how the FM studio works. It is an opportunity for people to interact with their favourite RJs, he said.

This year the theme of the Ratha is ‘We love Mangalore’ wherein during the nine days the shows will speak about 9 reasons to love the city. There are also fun spot games for the people and winners will be awarded attractive prizes.

The morning show is from 7 am to 11 am and the evening one from 5 pm to 9 pm, both times hosted by Red FM RJs. This year the uniqueness of the Ratha is that it will participate in the Dasara 2013 procession on October 14 and will give live updates of the event to the people, he added.

The Ratha was inaugurated on October 7 at Gokarnatheshwat temple by Karnataka bank CGM Mahabaleshwar Bhat in the presence of Shahid Mohammed from ARMC IVF, Anvith from Volkswagen, Kudroli temple committee president Sairam, treasurer Padmaraj and others.

So far, the Ratha has travelled to various places in the cities like Kudroli, Mangaladevi, Suratkal, Marigudi, Temple Square, Milagres, Kankanady, Kulshekar, Vamanjoor, Yeyyadi, Padavinangady and others. It will conclude in Udupi on October 15.

The Red FM team consists of station head Raghav, RJs Deepak, Prasanna, Chaitra, Shilpa and Anurag, sound engineer Ramson, technical staff Riju and Deepak, Ashley Machado, Ranjith, Roshan and others.
