Bangalore: Name the districts where toilets have gone missing: C T Ravi

Chikmagalur, Oct 13 (DHNS): MLA C T Ravi has urged the State government to release a list of districts and taluks where 19 lakh toilets constructed during the previous BJP government has gone missing as per the statement of Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, within 10 days. The government should file a criminal case against the erring officials.

Speaking to mediperson here on Saturday, he said “if the toilets were constructed only on paper, then it is an offence. Why minister failed to act against erring officials?” he asked.  “If the minister had tried to gain cheap publicity by issuing such statements, then he should seek apology from the people of the state,” he said.

Ravi said “it was the BJP government which had framed an ordinance to legalise the illegal structures and the ordinance was sent to the Governor for his nod. However, he had not given approval for the ordinance .

As an opposition leader Siddaramaiah had opposed the ordinance. The Governor has given his nod for the same ordinance without any amendment now. The Governor should clarify reason for change in his mind.”

He said “no development works have been initiated even after five months of the government coming to power. The ‘development’  initiated by the government was transfer of officials. 83 police personnel have been transferred so far.”

“The gambling cases are on rise. The government has failed to contain it. A false case has been filed against a person who had nabbed illegal cattle lifters in Aldoor. The false case against the innocent should be withdrawn,” Ravi said.

A convention will be held ahead of Lok Sabha polls in the state. The BJP will hold a campaign to create an awareness on the failure of the UPA government in the centre.

“There is consensus among the BJP leaders in the state to admit former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa back to the party fold. The decision on the same will be taken by the BJP Central Parliamentary Committee,” he added.

You should not be in a hurry to give wrong message to Mr. Patil's disclosure abt toilets. If you read the article again you will find, the figure of toilets was given by BJP Govt. which they had built then, from which Mr. Patil says 19 lacs toilets are only on paper (meaning cost of 19 lacs pocketed by BJP?) with that many are missing. If you know only simple arithmetic it will be difficult\confusing for you to calculate. U can ask some help because there will be many zeros added to that 19 Lacs.

Now that this is found out, CTRavi is very much upset - why I wonder.

I am not surprised for 19 lakh missed one. Because I still remember that (may be 10-15 years back)our nabors in our colony(village) used to get government funds to construction of toilets, underwater tank, rain water preservation etc etc by taking influence of some panchayath members. But no such work done using that fund or scraped such work within a year. Comparing to that in this case still 25 lakh still are in usable condition

The bjp’s FOUR greatest day and night looting is enough to surpass any of the congress scams.

    1) The NDA headed by BJP pocketing the loyal and sincere citizens lavishly poured money for Kargil war
    2) The money collected from Ayodhya temple.
    3) The Rat-yathra of L.K. Advani.

In the History of BJP's administration either in Center or state there are stray incidents of corruption. Only big issue is Reddys and Yeddy's. But wherever congress is there corruption Guaranteed. Vedra was waiting in Rajastan just to come to power. immediately he started his deals and looted. That is the reason all BJP guys were confident that BJP will come out clean in this allegation also. Now Minister please give details and don't air false statements.

The Official Karnataka State record says Karnataka has 27481 village. Wikipedia says Karnataka has 37700 villages. Okay let us take compromise figure as 32000 villages.
Patil says 44 lakh toilets were built. which means per village 138 to 150 toilets were built. This means toilets were more than the number of houses/families in the villages. Who can believe this figure given by Patil.
It seems Rural Dev Minister is very bad in simple Arithmetics too.
With such poor maths knowledge how can he handle billions of rupee funds which is regularly released by Centre ?

In the last 5 months congis have stolen 19 lakh toilets and equipments there, sold it for fifty percent price. Congis never use toilet, road side, railways stations, bus stands are sufficient for them. Also as said by someone yesterday, an umbrella is enough for them to cover their faces. They do not want public to use toilet too.
