Udupi: Modi banner at Parkala damaged, NaMo Brigade warns of action

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SM)

Udupi, Oct 15: In yet another incident of its kind in the coastal region, a banner showing Gujarat CM and BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi was damaged by miscreants.

The incident occured at Parkala here at around midnight on Monday October 14.

Strongly condemning the incident, the NaMo Brigade, a group campaigning in support of Narendra Modi, held a protest on Tuesday October 15.

The members of NaMo Brigade, which had put up the banner, gathered at the spot along with local BJP leaders.

The NaMo Brigade warned that if such incidents recur in future, strict action would be taken.

The Manipal police arrived at the spot and took down the banner to avoid further trouble.

A case has been registered in Manipal police station.

This is not the first time a banner of Narendra Modi has been desecrated. Earlier Modi banners were set on fire or torn at Mudipu, Gurpur and Konaje near Mangalore.

Damaging any official banner ( "with due legal permit from local authorities" ) is not the right thing in a civil society.

This is the same Mr. NAMO who is spending crores of rupees on "Social Media" to garnish "Young Voters" of the age group of 18 To 35 (which is above 50 percent of Indian voting population who are going to vote and decide the 2014 General Elections.

"Feku" (Mr.Narendra Modi OR his NAMO Brigade) can go to any extent to garnish publicity by doing all kinds of drama's.

His "Hindu Fundamentalism"!!! and his mentors "The RSS's" tactics would not work even they spend "Any Amount Of Money" on your paid managers (Be it....Any Media)

What is so holy about the banner to "Desecrate" it.
This kind of troubles are created by their party members itself to get sympathy as the Modi euphoria is slowly waning\normalising, which is a worrying thing for BJP\chelas.
Their minds work in this type of track always - trying to communalise anything and everything which was initiated by themselves and making it look the other political parties were responsible for such kind of vandalism.
Start something new where people can somewhat believe you!!!

Dear Rahul, MANGALORE,you have a wrong idea about congress. The UPA is happy and safe with NaMo banners every where. The more you praise about NaMo,the more people vote to congress. There is no much difference between Asaram and NaMo. Now media is busy showing about two people, One is Asaram and another is NaMo.
At the first week,Uma came out jumping and supporting Asaram and now not a single politician is out to protect the holy man. The same thing is going to happen once NaMo will lose his face in 2014.

I did read your previous comment and this one again, you are failing to understand the point made by Mr.Maxim cutinho, while you claim to be a BIG HEARTED non-psuedo. it is this lack of understanding for others sentiments or opinions that is COMMON in so called non-pseudo. Fortunately though, for a person like me, India is a republic and actually a Secular Republic and hence, even if one does not want , pseudo or non-psuedo, both are forced to accept each others rights to express opinions. now FEKU may have formed a kind of a cult among some of his followers, But he is not yet a God ..while your comment has Mother MARY is small letters, feku surely has a capital M. Well, my expectations are not high from so called non-psuedos. However articulate you may sound through your comments, you do betray intentions quite commonly observed among feku supporters.

So long as this farce is limited to fight between congi and bjp it is fine...
If it grows and becomes a fight between communities then we need to really act fast...
Looks like it will go to that direction...
Please my learned people, look back at those who were your friends without divide...
No Hindu, no Muslim, no christian or any other like minded folks will want a carnage...

    Dear Mr. Maxim Coutinho,

Kind request to read my earlier comments carefully. It states "there is no difference between the people who broke..... ..........." I am comparing the miscreants in both cases.

If a person tries to mutilate Sri Krishna Murthy or Mr. SM Krishna's statue, the intention of miscreant is same.

To elaborate further, the intention of the miscreant in both cases is to hurt the feeling of respective followers.

This is what a non-pseudo like me thinks. However, as you advised, I opened my eyes again and again, but realised I am clear in my view. Do you have it in you?

Dear Mr RSRB, I do condemn the act of miscreants in both the cases. But I do not give the same priority to God and to a politician. Your comment looked like you are giving same place to a Politician and to God, so I just put my thoughts. To me God is the Provider, not the politician. Thanks for your elaboration and your thoughts. this might have been damaged by the torrential rains, or even if its done by some miscreants it is wrong. Also NaMo Brigade talks about strict action. Will anyone please elaborate what action? if this is the "warning" or rather put it this way, if this is the open threat given before he becomes the PM, what would be the condition if he becomes at all.

I think it will be a Mangalore riots all over again after 2008 assembly elections but in a big scale.

First of all these banners are illegally put up at every junction without any permissions. Dont understand why the District administration is sitting quiet instead of removing all the kind of illegal posters from all the places. Now every one feels Congress also has not learned its lesson from what happened t BJP, if current government doesn't take strict action against these incidents it will lead up to large scale violence some other day.
Government should wake up and take down all these illegal posters so that there will be no chance for any one damage those and create tension in the area.

Someone wrote to install CCTV for every grotto,Now I would say why not install a CCTV for every Namo banner.A free advice, keep a offering box to collect mantainance of CCTV.
