Karkala, Oct 16: "By implementing the FTDPD technology in Kambala, an experiment was held to give a better and clear result of the winners" said Kambala academy convener, district Kambala committee founder secretary professor K Gunapala Kadamba.

Speaking to the media at a press meet, he said "we can try to evade confusion during the race for declaring winners by implementing this technology. It will also help us to conclude the Kambala in time."

The machine will help to keep track of the Kambala time and will also store the records of the Kambala run.

Along with equal justice for everyone, he said spectators who come to watch the Kambala will henceforth see the results live through this technology. Adding to this, the technology will be implemented in few Kambala’s with five line cable cameras in the current year itself, he said.

Overall, along with this,  one can watch the beginning and the conclusion of the Kambala with a detailed track record of it.

With this technology, video cameras will be installed along with the cables  at the Kambala at a height of 10 metres. The camera’s will move along the cables with the speed of the Buffaloes and, the video visual of the same will be displayed live on the LCD screens.

"We will also show a visual introduction of the buffaloes along with their owners. All the video displays can be shown in the form of HD," he added.

On behalf of the academy, a training camp will be organized for Kambala runners from October 17 to October 26 and there after, the Kambala race will be organized on November 10 to the workshop participants. During this Kambala, the technology will be used for the first time.

The same system will be continued in current year for the Kamabala’s taking place at Miyyar, Nandikur, Moodbidri, Puttur, Vamanjoor and others, stated professor Kadamba.
