Mangalore: Boat with five fishermen capsizes off Thotta Bengre

Mangalore, Oct 17: A trawl boat carrying five fishermen capsized off Thotta Bengre near Tannir Bavi beach here on Thursday Ocober 17 morning.
Five fishermen were aboard the trawl boat 'Manisagar' which capsized in the rough sea.
The boat belongs to Kishan Chandan, who was also in the boat.
Though the sea was rough, all the five who were on the boat managed to swim ashore.
The boat however, was damaged and the loss is said to go into several lacs.
Besides Kishan Chandan, Narasimha and Kiran swam to safety. The identities of the other two fishermen are not yet known.
Panambur police have registered a case.
