Mangalore: Students visit Pilikula Nisarga Dhama

Mangalore, Oct 18: The Prakruthis of the Eco-Club of Bertrand Russell High School, Baikampady visited on October 9 at Pilikula along with co-ordinator GeethaKumari.

They reached at 10 am visited the Botanical Garden where the Prakruthis learnt about the medicinal plants and its uses.

They visited the Artisans’ Village and Guttina Mane. In Artisan village saw how to make furniture using Bamboo Sticks, they also saw how the clothes are woven, how to prepare the beaten rice.

The Prakruthis made the pots with the help of the potters who also showed the decorative items made of clay. Later, the Prakruthis visited the Zoological Park and were back to school premises by 5 pm.
