Udupi: Miscreants flee after setting BJP member's car on fire

Ivan Mascarenhas
Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (DV)

Udupi, Oct 19: Unidentified miscreants set fire to a car belonging to a BJP member, near Hoode, on Saturday October 19.

It is learnt that the Maruti Ritz car belongs to BJP Udupi Standing Committee president Harshavardhana, who is an active member of RSS and VHP.

At around 12.10 am, the car which was parked in shed was set ablaze by the unknown persons. The incident came to light after the car siren turned on. On hearing the alarm, Harshavardhana rushed to the place where he noticed three people trying to escape from the scene.

It is also learnt that three months ago, the rear glass of the car was broken which was parked in the same shed. He later filed a complaint at the Malple police station, but no action was taken.

After the incident, VHP leader Suprasad Bykady visited the spot. Addressing the media, he said, “The miscreants should be arrested within 24 hours. Otherwise VHP will hold severe protest.”

Circle inspector and other police personnel rushed to the spot. Strict security is deployed at the place.

I have noticed one of the VHP leaders is there in every photo especially where there is communal attacks, Beef meet trade and similar kind of attacks, pett puddai etc. He looks so disturbed. I think he really needs peace of mind. Being a VHP leader i have not seen any initiative which he has taken to help people or his own community. Giving Dhamki's of protesting, strikes and his nonsense statements to Media, What is he going to prove with all that and what is he going to achieve out of it? Guys don't you feel that he is exploiting young youths? First of all Police should take strict action against those leaders and everything will fall in line.

The incident happened at Hoode was not a drama created by any persons or the party as alleged by so many people who commented on Daijiworld. Moreover, it is also not a conspiracy of the BJP to increase their image. The people of the locality know more about the said Harshavardhan Hoode, than the persons who given false comments on the incident. Now a days all over India, Hindus have been badly suppressed so that they can not even resist the high handed acts of minority people supported by false secular political parties. Hindu being majority community of India, has been neglected and insulted by so called secular politicians. The Harshavardhan Hoode is an Hindu first then he is the activist of BJP. He is struggling for Hindu cause in the locality, where few hindu families are now living. As a part of their conspiracy, they set ablaze the Ritz car belonging to Harshavardhan Hoode. Harshavardhan Hoode has no worry to get the matter investigated by CBI or any other investigating agency as demanded by commentators. He also demand a thorough investigation into the matter, without any political interference. On clear watch of the incident, it is clear that the culprits have placed a strategy, which was used in Jammu and Kashmir to vacate the Hindus by creating a fear in the mind innocent Hindus. Lastly, the persons who have given adverse comments, must study the situation before giving such false comments. The situation being faced by Harshavardhan may come to all who have given adverse comments.
Jai Sriram, Bolo Bharth Mata ki Jai.

One thing we can observe in this column that those who opposed strongly for stone attack at MFar Office, lost their words to condemn this issue. This is the one such attitude of our own people make us show more sympathy towards any Sene or Dal because somebody is out there to settle the score against these cowards…. But worrying part is who makes the trouble and who’s property got damaged which is called collateral damage only

    Dear Sachidanand Shetty.
This car, set ablaze by the unknown persons leads to many doubts.
    a. Car was parked inside the shed garage.
    b. At around 12.10 am, the car which was parked in shed was set ablaze by the unknown person.

    Now the question is:
How did the assailants entered the garage? Usually the car garage will have shutter and will be closed at night. Who has opened the shutter and to set ablaze the closed car, they should break the car windows which is not mentioned here.

So this leads to many doubts. There is a great chance, this act is from within than from outsiders.

This act setting fire on the car at 12.10 am, should be condemned and the assailants should be severely punished.

Simple question after watching the video.

    1) All four wind shields intact along with the rear door glass.
    2) The upper part of the bonnet indicates the bonnet was closed when it was burning.
    3) Only front wind shield broke due to excessive heat.
    4) Fire not ignited from the bottom - if that was the case the battery too would have burnt very badly and damage would be extensive.

So how did anyone ignite the fire right in the Engine?

There is every possibility that car might have caught fire due to electrical short circuit. There are umpteen cases where the entire car is burnt due to short circuit. Before blaming anybody, Harshwardhan should analyse the cause. It is learnt that he is notorious in creating problems by trumping up some reason or the other. In the past he has broken the window glass of this car and blamed Muslims for this! Mr. Harshwardhana you will not achieve anything by creating problem. My advice to you is please learn to live and let other live peacefully.

There is nothing to suggest BJP's growing popularity day by day!!
We can see only frustration writ large among BD/RSS/VHP. After the stunning defeat BJP is trying to garner sympathy by barking different tree. Are you not living in Karnataka? Then how can u say it is "your government"? It is other way around. The defeat is staring at BJP and that is why all this natak. What you sow that you reap. It is nice to read your concern about communal rape, violence, unrest, church attacks are increasing day by day in Mangalore and South Canara. Who started this??? Your communal brigade.

This guy is notorious trouble monger of hoode, in past too he broken his rear glass of his car and tried to put blame on Muslims but police later found out he was the one who created the scene to create communal flare but due to his own government in power they did not took any action on him and this time too all people of hoode including Hindus know who is behind this and we cannot see anybody from our surroundings seen in these photos except one or two of his own allies. When ever his allies (not more than 3) try to create some trouble 50 to 60 people from surround specially from malpe comes to hoode, Bengre or Nejar whom we don't know at all where as we in Hoode are united and leaving with peace. Let police to investigate the matter and punish the culprit. Elections are nearby and bop wants to gain some sympathy so this is just beginning .
