Kundapur, Oct 19: "Udupi district was famous for peace and unity. But now due to political revenge, BJP activists are harassed and they also receive threat calls from several people. The activists are attacked by people who call themselves as Congress activists," said former minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.

He addressed the media on Friday October 18 evening after visiting Surendra Ganiga who was attacked three days back near Hemmadi.

The poster of Narendra Modi was put on National highway after obtaining permission from the panchayat. Angered by this, Congress activists attacked a BJP activist. Adding to that, with the use of political power, they have pressurized police to not to book case against the attackers, which is against the democracy and BJP condemns it, said Kota.

The person who was attacked, when he went to a private hospital was denied treatment by doctors as they said it is the incident of a fight. But, he was later treated by the doctors after stating that he was injured in an accident.

In this regard, discussion is done with district administration, SP and other to take strict actions against the accused.

"At least now local MLA Gopal Poojary and the government should be alert and ask their activists to not to repeat such incidents. If continued then BJP will stage a massive protest," he warned.

"Rural youth including several others who are in support of Narendra Modi  are installing posters of him with legal permission. Other than attacking our activists, let them put a banner of their prime minister of choice," said youth.

Thingale Vikramarjuna Heggde, Sadananda Ravindra Ganiga among others were present.

Yeh Mr. Kota kya bolta hai ? Naam se patha chaltha hai yeh kota note hai. Mr. Poojary, Kannadias are very much mataured to believe in your bakwaas. We have realized the difference between BJP rule and Congress rule in Karnataka. During your rule, goondas were carrying out Police dept. work and no people were safe and peaceful. Thank God, all Kannadigas, irrespective of religion slapped BJP right on 'Kaanpatti' and still you people are shamelessly trying to fool wise people of Karnataka ? Feel pity for you. Jai Karnataka.

Congis do not digest Modi's popularity and they do not want his popularity to reach the people of our state. This is the reason behind burning banner.

They know they are the losers. They don't have guts to put their PM candidate's banner. If they do so, they have nothing to write on banner.. Ha Ha...

If he is already popular then what is the necessity to hang him in the BILL BOARD?By the by hoarding/bill board or circus ad across the countries will also not make him as an candidate for PM.....India has parliamentary democracy in which MPs are ing their LEADER/PM(Perhaps LKA will agree with me)

He is popular than any other party PM candidate. There is nothing wrong in introducing him to the people who don't about him.

BTW, this is for your information that many people does not know MMS is our PM, especially in rural areas.

You can't digest this. Stay cool man.

You too are a MLC Mr.Kota Srinivas Poojary!!!!! Why don't you use your power and put the culprits behind the bars? You don't have that much power?. Only have power to protest.? People are matured enough these days and nobody is going to show sympathy on any political parties protest. All this is just politics. At the end of the day you guys( Congress,BJP and JDS) share the same stage and also keep shifting from one party to other and we the general public suffer becuase of your dirty politics.
