Brahmavar horticultural centre was established in Brahmavar before two decades and the benifit to neighbouring village farmers is not remarkable. As land prices gone up in Brahmavar lot of land was converted as housing layout.Non availability of agricultural workers and shortage of water resources compelled farmers either to stop agriculture or to sell the land for financial gains. In general present research centre unable to transform the region which had every potential to do so.For example when coconut yield was hampered due to pests no key solution was found thus farmers faced heavy losses for several years. My observations are there is no proper interaction between the centre and the common farmer. There is no case study and survey of the situation around and there is no proper training for people to adopt scientific method or alternative crop.I request distinguished leaders to utilize this resource centre for the benifit of the farmers in this region.
