Kundapur, Oct 21: A 45-year-old man from Talegadde Mane, Kenchnanoor village died, after he slipped and fell into a well near his house, on Saturday October 19 night. 

The deceased has been identified as Shiva Poojary, son of Basava Poojary.

Shiva Poojary was living in 30 cents government land even though he did not have the title deeds. It is learnt that the land behind Shiva Poojary’s house is covered with grass. Shiva Poojary who came out at around 9 pm, accidently slipped and fell into the 25-feet deep well.

It is learnt that Shiva Poojary had two wives, two sons from the first wife, and three daughters from the second. After the death of his first wife he stayed with his second wife. Shiva Poojary was a cooli worker and was the family's only bread earner.   

Byndoor constituency BJP president BM Sukumar Shetty, Rajeev Shetty president of Hattiangady gram panchayat, village accountant Kantharaju visited and offered condolences.

A case has been reported at Kundapur police station.
