Mangalore, Oct 22: “I have a very special attachment towards this district. I had a tremendously satisfying experience in the here, especially the support from the IGP guided me during my difficult days. Moreover, I have had good relations with subordinates and superior officers. Though Dakshina Kannada is a small district, it is an important one and 100 percent of credit goes to our team.  Police work gets tougher by the day and police need to put in hard effort. The police’s intention is not to penalize but to prevent mistakes,” said outgoing Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police Abhishek Goel.

He was addressing the gathering after receiving the felicitation from IGP Prathap Reddy in a farewell programme organized by Dakshina Kannada Police Western Range on Monday October 21.

On this occasion, Goel and P Harishchandra, former DySP in the office of IGP, were felicitated.

Presiding on the occasion, IGP Prathap Reddy said, “Everyone must learn from others at every level. In learning ranks, levels never matter. Every staff has worked with interest and there was good team work. Hence, it is possible to provide good service. The same team work and co-operation should be shown to Sinha also. There are short comings in some stations; especially some inspectors should work to increase the team spirit.”

Harishchandra also spoke on this occasion. Incoming SP Shantanu Sinha was present.
