Dubai, Oct 30: After the successful 'Naach Baila Naach' contest hosted by Mogachi Lahran led by Vincent Fernandes last year, the group is all set to present a double entertainment bonanza to Konkani speaking people in the UAE with the second baila dance contest, and in addition the first-ever Konkani Laughter Challenge contest, on December 13, 2013 at JSS School, Al Safa Hall Dubai

The Rules:

Naach Baila Naach

Entries accepted from couples aged above 25 years (unmarried couples also welcome) Religion no bar

Last date to send entries – November 15, 2013
Audition – November 22
Entry fees – Dhs 200 per couple

There will be a preliminary round from which 10 couples will be selected for the grand finale.

Prizes:

Champions : Title of “Baila King” and “Baila Queen” cash prize

1st runner-up - Cash prize

2nd runner-up - Cash prize

Konkani Laughter Challenge

No props to be used (no stage setting)
Maximum 3 persons; minimum 2 per team
First 5 entries for Laughter Challenge will be directly selected

Time limit – Maximum 10 minutes, minimum 5 minutes
Only Konkani language to be used for the skits

Entry fees – Dhs 200 per group

Prizes :

Champions : Title “Fokanaanche Sardar” cash prize

1st runner-up - Cash prize

2nd runner-up - Cash prize


Special Attraction

Dance performance by “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa” choreographer, who will also judge the competition.

Live performance of Hindi songs along with dances by Mogachi Lahran Dance Troupe (MLDT).

Results will be announced on stage soon after the performances, followed by prize distribution and non-stop baila.
