I am happy that government finally recognised Dr. Prof. K. P. Rao. He is the one who first developed Kannada software and Kannada fonts. He was very simple, down to earth, ready to help anyone at anytime and keeping always himself into a low profile. He was never for name and fame. Because of this of his low profile attitude he was never consider for this award earlier.

When I was in MIT, Manipal (both when I was doing my engineering studies and when I was a faculty in Computer Department) I used to spend lots of time with him. Through his inspiration and guidance I also had developed my own kannada software editor and also I had developed Kannada fonts for then JANAVAHINI KANNADA DAILY.

Phonetic keyboard in Indian Languages Softwares is dedicated to his name with K P RAO KEY BOARD. Hats off to Prof. Dr. Kinnikambla Padmanabha Rao.

I wish the BD, HJV, Rama Sene, Rama Sena etc. follow the example of Hajabba and others and involve in some kind of social service instead of wasting their time and energy in so called religion, communal and culture related issues which bring nothing but violence, unrest and hatred in society.

First of all our Governments, which is implementing programs on the basis of religion, should follow him.

Mr. Dev Sagar if you are so secular mention the names of organizations of other religion also which is disrupting the communal harmony. Please don't write biased comments.

It's really heartwarming to see Mr. Hajabba being honoured. A well deserved award to a large hearted person. In this day and age when so many rich persons are busy flaunting their wealth, here is the example of a humble fruit seller who has given his all for educating poor children. A thousand salutes to you Sir, and I wish you inspire others to follow your sterling example.
