Am really surprised at the list of Rajyotsava award winners. Surprised not at the names ed but for not seeing any single soul worthy to receive the honours in the field of sports. What a shame ?? When sport can bridge the gap of conflict and clashes it is a pity that the district does not have anyone worth his salt to be considered at all. Or is it that the administrators never bothered to give any importance in the field of sports. We have a sports minister in the Karnataka Government from our own place but not to have one eligible candidate to get the Rajyotsava award in sports is nothing but distressing as far as sports in our district goes. At least in Udupi administration they have managed to award Kumari Keerthi Nayari in International Sports. Where are our boys and girls and the sports coaches/administrators and organisers gone ???
