Hyderabad, Mar 29: The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) has announced that the CCMB is making preparations to clone cheetah in collaboration with a team of scientists from South Africa.
Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, CCMB director Dr Lalgi Singh said a team of South African scientists would come to the institute and interact with the scientists there.
Stating that South Africa would be the donor for the cloning, he explained that 'earlier the CCMB had discussed with Iran on this project. “But, Iran was not willing to be a donor and CCMB approached the South African government,” he said.
