Kuala Lumpur, Mar 31: Actor Saif Ali Khan, who is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for an ad shoot, underwent a successful appendectomy operation.

The 36-year-old national award-winning actor was admitted to the Gleneagles Hospital after he complained of acute abdominal pain.

Sources at the hospital say Saif's condition after the emergency operation is 'satisfactory'.

Saif, who won the national award for best actor for his role in Hum Tum, was in Malaysia with his Italian girlfriend, Rosa.

Saif will soon be seen in an ad with Rosa. They shot for the ad in Melbourne, Australia, where Saif -- along with Aishwarya Rai and Rani Mukerji -- also performed at the closing ceremony of the Commonweath Games.
