Udupi, Nov 8: In a miraculous incident, a baby that was born in the sixth month of pregnancy and who the doctors had declared as dead, was found to be alive just before it was to be buried.

A pregnant woman, identified as Manjula along with her husband Nagaraj from Bellary district, working in a quarry at Bantakal near Shirva, had gone for a checkup to a private hospital.

The woman who was six months pregnant developed sudden pains in the stomach and hence went to the toilet, where she gave birth to a baby.

As she delivered a premature baby three months earlier than the due date, doctors said that it was a rear incident and asked the couple to take the baby to Manipal hospital. The baby was taken to Manipal and during preliminary checkup, the doctors confirmed that the baby was dead.

The baby was then wrapped in a cloth and was taken to crematorium. Over there, when the father of the child removed the cloth to see the baby for one last time, he noticed that the baby was breathing. Shocked, the father admitted the mother and baby to district hospital for women and children.

The mother is said to be healthy. As the baby’s 'rebirth' was a miracle and it weighed only 760 grams, the condition of the baby till Thursday night was critical, said hospital sources.

Imagine what would have happened if the family did not notice that the child was alive and had buried. Doctors need to be more careful - they need to realize how critical their job is. Many suffer from over-confidence and some recently from an obsession for money

Nothing is impossible to GOD.He is the Almighty and the creator. If the child has to live in this world,it will live, Its all GOD's plans. We human beings forget GOD's presence in our good time.

A similar incident happened to my friend in Chennai, baby born premature and in systole.Doctors d dead and after keeping in grave father saw cloths wrapped were moving. They shifted to hospital and spent nearly 80000 rs for 5 days then the baby died.Sometimes this happens so no use of blaming the doctors. All the controls are with the creator. He can do anything.Just pray for the babies recovery.

@Wilma, how can doctors at a so called highly rated medical center somebody dead just like that when even people in coma are kept on life sustaining aids in the hope of them regaining consciousness again!! In fact in a few cases it has happened after being in coma for years, patients have suddenly come to normalcy!!

Recently there was another case from another institute in Mangluru where a man d dead was moved to his house with relatives ready with all arrangements for final rites, but on reaching his house he started talking!! What a joke!!!!!

Death is a Medical Failure. Doctors become helpless at this point. There is no Medical Theory beyond Death, because the Doctor does not understand what is Death. Doctor is not God but God is a Doctor.

Don't blame the doctors..They practiced what they learnt in medical college..They don't know about emotions,relation,poverty,helplessness,6th sense etc..Medical books don't teach these things..It comes only if you are a good human being..

Ms Joslyn, I am one of the guys who has disagreed with the statement of Mr.Andrew and I am a happy atheist who can read, write and speak english.

My reason for disagreeing with Mr. Andrew is that I have come across many a times people saying "god works in mysterious ways". For me this sentence is not an explanation but an excuse. People use it when they want to credit god for something they cannot explain and they don't want to admit they have no idea what they are talking about.

It's a classic case of I don't know, therefore god did it.

    For Justice..
Even women belonged to poor families..certain doctors/hospitals/nurses never distinguish themselves while giving treatment to such patients. In fact they more incline to give more attention towards such patients. Don't judge everybody in the same category even though your caption mentioned 'for justice'. It's nothing but of course a 'miracle'..may be women missed the calculation. Jai Ho..
