Bantwal, Apr 5: The excise police on Wednesday April 5 have arrested 3 persons while they were transporting spurious liquor on a car at Panemangalore new bridge near here.
The arrested have been identified as Chandu Gowda, Kiran Shetty and Naveen, the resident of Puttur. They were arrested around 6 am on Wednesday morning by B M Timmaraju, SI, Bantwal Crime bureaue.
The police also seized 35 litres of spurious liquor stored in 7 cans, 48 arrack bottles of 180 ml each which were stored in 8 separate boxes and 12 bottles of Mysore Lancer whiskey.
The total value of the seized things is said to be Rs 80,000.
