Doha, Nov 15: Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) is all to set to celebrate the 58th Karnataka Rajyotsava Day at the Delhi Public School (DPS) Auditorium, Al Wakrah near here on Friday November 15 from 3.30 p.m. onwards.

Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) is a premier socio-cultural organization of Kannadigas living in Qatar and is affiliated with Indian Embassy in Doha. KSQ celebrates the Karnataka Rajyotsava every year with great enthusiasm and gaiety in November to commemorate the formation of Karnataka state on November 1, 1956.

Star singer S P Balasubramaniam and his team of 15 members arrived at the Doha International Airport on Thursday November 14.

Organizer of the event KSQ president Deepak Shetty and executive committee members welcomed the artistes at the airport with bouquets.

Later in the evening, a press meet was held for which representatives of major electronic and print media and TV channels were present.

Dynamic president of KSQ Deepak Shetty welcomed the gathering and thanked the event sponsor Doha Bank, event partners Structural Qatar, Al Muftah Contracting Company, AL MA Aluminum and Steel Company, event manager Media Plus and media partner Daijiworld for supporting the event as sponsors.

Srinivasan manager of Doha Bank International Business Support, vice-president Nageshwar Rao, general secretary Mahesh Gowda, executive committee members, Media Plus representive and Daijiworld representative, past president Arvind Patil and Mannangi were present.

Speaking to media persons S P Balasubramaniam said he is very eager and enthusiastic about performing for the second time under the banner of KSQ. Further he said that the Kannada audience is one of the best audiences he has had for his shows. If he gets a second life he wishes to take birth in Karnataka as a Kannadiga, he said. Mohd Rafi is his role model and favourite singer, and he feels Manna Day was the most versatile singer. His first ever Kannada song was recorded in 1967 for the movie “Nakkare Adhu Swarga”.

Legendary singer S P Balasubramaniam who is expected to perform non-stop during the three-hour musical entertainment is excited about the show and has promised a memorable evening for Kannada music lovers of Qatar..

General secretary Mahesh Gowda proposed the vote of thanks.

· Entry is only through gate no 2 (both yellow & purple passes)
· Parking is in front for gate no 2 in the open ground
· No food items/water bottles are allowed inside the auditorium
· Tea/biscuits/snacks will be arranged outside the auditorium during the breaks
· Entry is free for children below 6 years of age but no separate seat is given
 

Only those with valid passes will be allowed inside the auditorium. Tickets are sold out, and no additional tickets will be available at the venue.
