Mangalore, Nov 15: Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike (KKSV), DK unit staged a protest in front of the deputy commissioner’s (DC) office condemning the visit of BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to Bangalore scheduled on November 17.

Addressing the protestors, lecturer Dr Bhoomi Gowda said, “We do not belong to any party, but we are against Narendra Modi for he is a fascist. We need communal harmony in the country. Peace should prevail. It is the public who should choose the Prime Minister, however, the BJP has done it much in advance only to spoil the harmony among people.”

He added, "Pigeon is the symbol of peace. But what do we see in the flex banners of Narendra Modi? We see the images of lion and tiger in the banners promoting Modi as the prime ministerial candidate. What does it suggest? We are peace loving people. But today, the element of fear is prevalent among the people. There is hate politics. Hindutva is meticulously used to lure voters."

Ali Hasan of Central Muslim Committee, Mangalore said, "We have come together not in fear of Modi but to oppose his candidature. We are progressive thinkers. We do not want a communal leader to represent the country worldwide. Even L K Advani could not become the Prime Minister of the country as he too pledged by Hindutva. The PM candidate must be am inclusive leader.

"However, the government officials are not taking action against the banners, and neither are the media talking about it. The banners are put up everywhere. Why are only they given permission?" he questioned.

Suresh Bhat Bakrabail, district president of the Vedike said, “The 'development model of Gujarat' propaganda is nothing but fooling the public. The entire Gujarat is not developed. The state is far behind other states. Moreover, Modi has hired a foreign public relation agency to lure fresh voters. The farmers, women and children are neglected in his “development model”, but only the big corporates enjoy all the subsidized facilities from the government,” he said.

P B D’Sa, state president of People’s Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) also spoke on the occasion. The protestors also carried an effigy to symbolically express their opposition to his upcoming visit.

Udupi, Nov 15: The district unit of Komu Sauharda Vedike staged a protest at Clock Tower on Friday, November 15 against BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate  Narendra Modi's visit to Bangalore and urged the public to keep him from becoming the PM and 'save the nation from danger'.

Rajashekhar, Vedike district president, said that Gujarat had seen bad days under his administration and  the same disaster will be extend to the rest of the country.

“In the name of development, Modi is an assassin who made Gujarat a hell for minorities and lower categories of the society. It's a tenure of bloodshed and if at all Modi takes over as Prime Minister, India will surely see the divide and rule policy,” he added.

Rajashekhar  said that the BJP should feel ashamed of itself for portraying a 'human slayer' as its Prime Ministerial candidate.” Modi's concept of development is meant for the corporate sector only,” he added.

Jayanth Malpe questioned the need of such a huge expense in the name of rally. He assured that the efforts of the BJP, the Sangh Parivar, and the Namo Brigade will not be a successful one.

Komu Sauharda Vedike urged the people of Bangalore to strongly protest against Modi.

It is a political strategy to form some NGO's and human rights groups and Komu Sauharda Vedikes etc to fight against political opponents. In Karnataka there are a large number of such groups which are aligned to some political parties. I request Christians to refrain from this dirty politics and be an example to others. Mr. D'sa please note this.

Mr. Victor Alvares, why should Christians disassociate from the dirty Politics ? In fact, every citizen of India, irrespective of religion should clean the 'dirty' politics by kicking out cunning, dirty, rapist and mass murderers from politics. Indeed, most of the Christians are well educated and know to distinguish between good and evil. A few black sheep will be brainwashed by roadside heroes.

Modi is not the people's choice. He is blown larger than life by media people, corporate and business houses. If Modi is the people's leader why is he scared to mix with common people? Gujarat was
    developed by Tatas, Birlas, Reliance
And another big business houses and not by Modi or BJP. Once again it is
nothing but media hype. Now its right time to think of Third Front.
The people of this country are fed up
with corrupt Congress and BJP equally. So think of an alternative, think of Third Party led by Nitish Kumar.

MR.MODY came to Mangalore, lakhs of people attended, they enjoyed his speech but BJP was routed from Mangalore very badly. PEOPLE of India don't vote for persons. They vote for good work. its all media hype about modi. he is a good orator and speeches well. thats his ability. it doesn't fetches in to vote. but please bear in mind people of india is really fed up with UPA.its really a corrupt. they dont have control over the ministers especially of their partner party. they are filling their kitties.so the vote this time is not for modi for sure. its to give good governance to a coalation people of india feel good.
