Dubai: Reeva Christelle wins Konkani Milan cute kid contest

Dubai, Nov 17: The keenly awaited results of the Konkani Milan cute kid contest have been announced. On the occasion of the second anniversary of Konkanimilan.com, a Konkani website, which was founded with an endeavor to promote a forum of Konkani writers and to publish news and events at local and international levels in Konkani (Kannada script), the association had organized “Konkani Milan Cute Kid 2013” competition.

Response came from different parts of Karnataka and the world. It is indeed rewarding that scores of parents responded wholeheartedly by displaying the pictures of their lovely children.
 
The first prize is bagged by Reeva Christelle, daughter of Rajesh and Preema D’Costa from Bajpe. The second prize goes to Alisha Siyona, daughter of Steven and Anitha D’Mello from Vamanjoor and the third prize to Chris Shawn D’Mello, son of Ronald and Avitha D’Mello from Loretto.

While Reeva bagged 3,338 votes, Alisha garnered 3007 votes and Chris 2,953 votes.

The winners will be awarded Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively and also bestowed the honour of recognition from Konkani Milan.
 
The prizes are sponsored by Merit Freight Systems LLC, Dunes Restaurant, Reliable Group of Companies, Northern Properties, Matha Developers Pvt Ltd and Kain Properties.
 
Though initially it was announced that there would be three consolation prizes, owing to the tremendous response and active participation from a large number of kids, it was decided to give away additional five consolation prizes.
 
The prizes will be distributed during the second anniversary of Konkani Milan website which will be held in Mangalore in the month of December.
