Mangalore: Enthusiastic kids turn up for Red FM 'Chinnara Vesha' contest

Mangalore, Nov 17: To mark ‘Children’s Day’, Red FM 93.5 in collaboration with Chintu TV organized ‘Chinnara Vesha’ fancy dress competition at Bharat Mall on Saturday November 16.

Chief of Namma TV channel Shivasharan Shetty inaugurated the event.  

The competition was conducted in three divisions - junior division from kindergarten to 1st standard, sub-junior from 2nd standard to 4th standard, and  senior division from 5th standard to 7th standard.  Children dressed in colourful costumes enthusiastically participated in the programme and won everyone's hearts.

Red FM 93.5 station manager Raghav B V, Bharath Mall store manager Nikith, assistant manager Sandesh, and Bharath Mall HR Ashwith were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Raghav thanked everyone for taking part in the competition and said that such events boost children’s competitive spirit and ability. Aswith said, “Over the past seven years, this programme has been organized to help children overcome stage fright.”

Several children participated in this competition depicting various characters like Kittur Chennamma, Krishna, Onake Obavva, Shakunthala, Sai Baba, Tipu Sultan, snake charmer, and astrologer.

Veteran actor Gopinath Bhat, RJ Vishwas Kamath, and Tulu actor Nagaraj were present as judges at the competition. Daijiworld.com was the web partner, Namma TV Channel was the channel partner, and Bharath Mall was the mall partner for the programme.    

RJ Deepak, RJ Anurag, and RJ Prasanna compered the programme.  RJ Shilpa and RJ Chaitra also were present on this occasion. 

Prior to the inauguration of the event, minister for health U T Khadar visited the venue and wished the programme and the organizers all success.
