India's Rajendran wins World bodybuilding title


Budaors (Hungary), Nov 18 (IANS): India's Rajendran Mani won the men's 90 kg event at the fifth World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships here.

Iran's Reza Nouri Ara won the Mr. Universe title Sunday while Iran won the overall men's title and Hungary took first place among the women. Reza also claimed the men's 100 kg event while compatriot Alireza Asadollahi clinched the men's over-100 kg event, reports Xinhua.

Champions of all the nine men's categories competed for the Mr. Universe title.

Iran's Alireza Feyz Ahmad won the men's athletic physique above 180 cm category while Ukraine's Anna Krukovska won the women's model physique 170 cm and her compatriot Olga Kulinych took the women's model physique above 170 cm event.

The next World Championships will be held in India in 2014.
