Mangalore, Nov 18: In an apparent case of negligence, two youths who came to buy a second hand car ended up ramming it into parked vehicles near Reliance Footprints showroom at Bejai here on Monday November 18.

The youths had come to Tata Motors showroom at Bejai and selected an Indica car. They took out the car on a test drive which went out of control.

As a result, the youths rammed the car into parked vehicles near Reliance Footprints showroom.

It is learnt an Alto belonging to Praveen Alva of Maithri Hardware, Bendoorwell, and a Hyundai Jazz owned by Dr Vijayalakshmi, and a signboard of SDM Ayurveda Hospital were damaged in the incident.

Eyewitnesses said that though police were informed immediately, they came an hour late to the spot.

What type of teaching is this? Teach them properly before taking test. There are minimum classes before you take the tests. Some are nervous, so they drink the previous night to forget the worry and to get a good sleep. May be hangover caused this accident or the trainer could not press the brake on time.

Conclusion: The vehicle was driven by only one idiot. So he is not laughing. The other 2 (his friends) are laughing for the very reason that their friend could not control the vehicle.

I would like to highlight a few things

    1) The show room should ask for valid D/L and take record of the same

2)The Driving test and procedure to get licence should be tough so as
    to avoid future accidents.

2)The owner of the car should be fined heavily if he gives the car to a person who do not own valid licence.

3)The public transport system should be encouraged and owning private vehicles should be discouraged. In Singapore an individual has to obtain a certificate from Govt which costs Rs 50 lakhs appx. to purchase a car. This certificate is valid for 10 years and is given for 1 vehicle. The amount will change depending upon type of vehicle.

4)The automatic toll gate system should be introduced in new bridges to avoid traffic.

My views may be irrelevant in this case. But they are interlinked somewhere. None of the above points are 100% implemented and I am 100% right in expressing my opinion. Because observance strictly these things are signs of a developed nation.

Better our Police Officer keep these two youths inside the jail for one month so that they can learn all Driving Skill, Rules and Regulation thoroughly. It’s good that nothing untoward happened. Look at their faces… they are laughing as if they did some great job…. The police should also check their authenticity and financial background to know whether they are genuine customer or not?

The youth involved in the photos appears to be laughing as if it was a joke. Thank god that there were no children or other people in the area or they would have been killed. The police should take strict action on these idiots.
